Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield was recently bonded out of an Arkansas jail, where he was being held on charges of Public Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct, Fleeing, and Resisting Arrest.

According to the police report, the police were called to take an assault and battery report at 2:29 AM. There was another man there with Mayfield, who was yelling at him. Mayfield claimed that he had been trying to break up an altercation. While they were taking the statement of the other party, Mayfield began yelling profanities. When the police asked Mayfield to come over to them, he began walking away, and after several requests that Mayfield stop walking away, he began sprinting away. Mayfield was then tackled to the ground and handcuffed, but not without resistance to the handcuffs.

Baker Mayfield smashed passing efficiency records for Oklahoma last year en route to a 11-2 season and a Sugar Bowl win over the Auburn Tigers. Mayfield was also invited to New York for the Heisman ceremony, and was a finalist to win the trophy.
