Beaumont West Brook head coach Kevin Flanigan is leaving the school become the next head coach at Tomball, according to David Thompson of the Beaumont Enterprise.
Flanigan was at West Brook for the past five seasons, where he compiled a 32-23 record. The Bruins advanced to the third round of the 6A playoffs in 2016 before being eliminated by Houston Westfield.
In November, Flanigan was put on administrative leave prior to the Westfield game by Beaumont ISD. He was reinstated last Friday by the district.
Tomball finished 2-8 this past season and 0-7 in District 20-5A play. Flanigan will try to get the Cougars back to the playoffs for the first time since 2012.
