I have seen many DLS teams that were national championship worthy. I don't feel this is one of them.
I also think Canyon is the type of team that can match up with DLS physically.
I know the The question is can Canyon stop DLS's running game?
But I wonder if DLS can stop Canyon's rushing attack.
But what do I know?
We'll see what happens.

12-7 Canyon with 9:18 left in the first half.
Canyon has missed a PAT and failed on a 2-point conversion.
DLS had a 29-yard FG attempt blocked.

Canyon has totally outplayed DLS thus far. Potentially could raise an interesting question: if Canyon wins where does a team with two losses place in a national poll? For myself, based on this game which is the only time I've seen them play, they are too good not to be ranked, perhaps in the top 15 or so. DeLuigi looks awesome. On the one run near the end of the second quarter there were five DLS players that had their hands on him before he was caught from behind.
The sad part of this great series of games is the size of the crowd: even for this game there can't be more than six or seven thousand people there. I don't know what they'll announce but I seriously doubt that there are any more than this there. A shame that hs ball doesn't get more support in CA.
