I can't speak for everyone, but to me it really wasn't a big deal.
Okay, let me rephrase that IMO all games are a big deal some more significant than others, win or lose both of us were going to the playoffs, regardless. So IMO the only importance of that game was bragging' rights. The only difference we kept on truckin' and you CHOKED(sorry that might be a little harsh, I was really hoping for you guys to go all the way) maybe if yall put the same enthusiasm into those other games you play, like you do ours, you too might be sportin' some Bling and granted that Ennis Vs theCan Win/Lose Record Holder with The Can in a Most IMPRESSIVE Lead over Ennis that's really something to be proud of! I suppose that if you set your sites on that game then Congrats you reached your goal. Here in E-Town we like to aim to the TOP not half way. But, hey, whatever floats your boat.
Maybe, I just don't get it nor give sh!t about that record Or the Ennis/Hachie win lose record, *giggle* I mean how does that even compare???

Another guy just hating on Midlothian, thanks Big Sexy. I don't mind. I should be used to it. I'm down for some food. If we meet in the playoffs, maybe a little peace offering pre-game talegate meeting could be arranged with some steaks and cold ones. Whadda ya say? Heck if it's a friday game, and Ennis isn't playing that night, maybe we could have a little pow-wow. Yall got me in the mood for some talegate extravaganza! ...I'm never saying that word again...

I am not hatin...I am proud you feel the way you do about your team. Ya'll had a good year last year. Maybe ya'll can repeat this year. Hope you do.

As far as tailgating goes, that is a given. We are gonna have a blast with it this year. We now have a tour bus to go with it. It is gettin bigger than ever now. We would love to have you there. Hell we don't bite. We even get along with the Crew from Etown. We are all gonna talk some noise. you know that but we still love each other

I always find it interesting when people think that just because you get hyped-up for a game other than the play-off game that you lose, that you somehow are a team with WITHOUT a main goal of winning a state championship. If you were at the Lincoln game than you would have saw the heartbreak that took place.

Sorry but our record of playoff appearances record dispells any notion that our main goal is only to only win district championships. Rest assured, our coaches, players, and fans have one destination and thats a state champioship, if you need anymore proof, look at the Jeff Berry situation. He got us to the play-offs, even without having all the kids on team we should have, but that wasn't cutting it.

I'll be the first to tell anyone that the biggest game on our schedule other than the playoffs is Ennis. You guys are the measuring stick in 4A right now and we're one of the few teams that are fortunate enough to get to square off with you outside of the playoffs. Now please quit acting like you can't understand our level of passion with this game. For a fan base that loves plastering that "E" on everything, "Quest for 5 in 05", and god knows what else, you sure do like acting humble when it comes to the Cana game. Maybe its a humbleing experience : )

Now the E-fans can keep acting like the Cana game is nothing and all they care about is Wax. and the playoffs. One thing is for sure, only a hand full of teams in 4A over the last few years have beaten you and we're one of them. I hope you guys take my opinion correctly which is the fact that I'm honored to play the defending the state champs, not revengeful.

As for stirring the pot, I say we slow cook this thing for a couple of months, then dobb it up with a bisquit on that Friday night this November in Ennis.

Also, per our phone converstaion, I watched game footage of the college you stated and their offensive schemes with Clint. He broke it down regarding personnel scenerios, etc...................Its gonna be good.

You don't have to worry about me TopRow, all my respectful trashtalking is in fun. And I ain't got nothing but love for the Ennis crew..............my second favorite HS team.

BigSexy knows more about the stadium stuff..................like he says, who knows.

I think everyone is still anticipating on the fall of 2006, bonds are passed and CISD has held up their end of the bargain, lets see what the state does............

Oh I know Sendora you're a sweetie pie and I've always enjoyed your post, as well as BigSexy's, BigDaddy's and others. Same here with me on the trash talkin', all in fun. Whatever happened to Titty baby Tiger? I can't think of his real screen name, the one that said that got upset with me last year and said something about shootin' me. Man he was funny, He'd get so pissed. I'm guessing he'll be back in full force?

Shootin somebody.........I must have missed that one. Thats taking it a little too far and don't know who that could have been. I gotta stay in good graces with our foes up I-45 cause I may need attend an E-train tailgateing party sometime. I doubt I'll get hooked-up with a burger if I'm trying to shoot people. :boom:

Hopefully everyone will stop in during the summer and throw their two cents in on next season but most will probably not return to the boards till early fall.

Tailgate did someone say tailgate? Heck yes I would love to shake a few hands when I make my way on over to "the Can" this year. I always get there early so that I do not have to drag my camera equipment more than a few steps. I can hardly wait until you get that new stadium built so I will not have to keep ajusting my light settings.

The game between Hachie and "The Can" is going to be a good one again this year. I am looking foreward to it very much so dont go looking past us just so you can get a hold of the Defending state champs. We get them first game out of the shoot for us then you fellows two weeks later. I would love to see someone play our preseason schedule and come out without a loss.

I agree with Sendero's analysis of the Ennis/Cana games importance to each city. We ARE a bit more stoked when it's Hachie week. But, I think with the events of the past couple of years, both cities seem to have embraced the rivalry a little more. I can tell you, that it hurt out kids to lose that game. They felt like the game was theirs to win and they just didn't get it done. "No excuses", that's their official comment when asked about it.

I wouldn't agree with Sexy's "handed you your arse" comment, moreover, I would have to say "you guys lucked out" Hehehe.

I look forward to another healthy exchange with my bruthas from the South. O' and remember SEXY, it's you turn to bring the RED MEAT!

Did very well, thought he looked as good as anyone. He is already being recruited pretty highly, might get a few offers this summer, after he attends some more camps, but would expect them to rain in pretty soon after the season starts. Their were 79 QB's their and after the first hour, the camp staff, put the best 8-10 in one group and worked with them for the last hour, Clark was in that group. At the combine on Saturday, he benched 185 19 times (best of any QB there), ran a 4.75 electronically timed 40, and looked crisp in the passing drills. Was a very good camp for him overall.
