I've got complete records for quite a few of the teams in Texas and partial records for almost all of them with the ultimate (probably unachievable) goal being to have a complete history of every school (past and present). I've finally gotten access to material to allow me to fill in huge gaps I've had for quite a while.

I'm currently expanding and updating the Team History page by breaking it up into individual classifications and rearranging things to fit with the new 2008-2010 Realignment. The 3A, 4A and 5A pages are already up so click on the links below to check them out.

At least partial histories are posted for 852 of the 1029 (82.8%) programs that will compete in UIL 11-man competition in 2009 including every 5A team, every 4A team, every 3A team, and an ever growing percentage of lower classification teams.

If anyone has any particular requests I will gladly post what I currently have available for teams that are further down the list.

I think I've figured out this board is smarter than me, but I'll continue trying to get my posting through. The University of Nevada, Reno, not Las Vegas, is trying to upgrade their football program. I know there are many outstanding Texas high school players that have been overlooked in the recruiting process. UNR still has three scholarships left. If you know a player that has no character issues and has a good GPA have him or one of his coaches contact the university. Reno is 7 and 1/2 hours north of Las Vegas and four and 1/2 half hours from San Francisco. The campus is beautiful and the city is surrounded by the Sierra Nevada mountain range. There are many ski resorts within one to two hours driving time. UNR in in the same conference as Boise St, Fresno St., Hawaii and a couple of lesser known schools. The conference plays a wide open offense style for the most part. Reno does not recruit in Texas due to budget limitations, so as a fan I would appreciate some on this board following up to help a deserving kid, and UNR as well. Thank you.

I can give you a partial history of Idalou football if you would like. I have been compiling histories of around 250 schools (mostly panhandle schools) and have a number of scores and complete seasons for Idalou. You may e-mail me at ladane1950@sbcglobal.net.

LaMarque lost to Stephenville 3 times in the finals;however their 1995,2003 & 2006 as well as Stephenville's 1994 & 1998 teams are 5 of the best teams in 4A history. How do they rank on the all-time list?
