I remember that 1992 game against Southlake Carroll at Pennington!! Although Vernon lost the game that was one of the best HS games I have ever seen. The atmosphere was outstanding. In fact many fans were outstanding. If you were there you know what I mean :P People were in the rafters. Who was that BIG running back Vernon had at that time. He was like a snow plow through the defensive line. I just remember defensive heads rolling back when he hit the line. Just amazing!!!

I was at that game also, best high school game i have ever seen. The running backs name was Dexter Butler. He fumbled the ball as Vernon was going in for another score. It was heartbreaking, me being a fan from Vernon.
