Proud Pirate im going to put it like this.....The game last year against u guys was a really good one but alot of things bothered me about some of ur fans and players.....after the game some players were on our sideline taunting and saying vulger things....Then on message boards they made it like they dominated everman and if u were at the game that was certainly not the case.....And then to wrap up all that u guys got destroyed the next game by lincoln....Embarrasing loss...and u got shut out...Terrible....Everman would have given them a better game for sure....So in conclusion im looking forward to cheering on hebron and watching the beating they hand u guys...It will be a close one but thats going to make the loss better fo me when u guys are weaping hopefully over a close game....Man that sounds bad but to the rest of the people on here im really not that heartless!!!.....lol

Taunting is a part of high school football on the field. Rivalries wouldnt exist without trash talk. Just as long as they are not twisting ankles and cheap stuff like that, im fine with it. Clark Harrell was a trash talker and a very cocky guy in the ennis hp game, but he didnt back it up on the field. Its all good but you gotta know when to stop. All this might be off the subject but o well good luck to both teams

this is a smart guy here...our D is one of the strongest..most physical defenses in texas..and if wylie thinks that their offense will run over us..they got another thing commin.. on the othe hand..
wylie on average allows 160+ rush yards a game..and hebron is best at its run game..especially with derke back...it will be a clsoe match..but hebron will come out with victory

HAWKS WILL WIN, FINAL SCORE WILL BE:

HEBRON-42
WYLIE- 28

WHere do all the folks come from running there mouths off. Its funny most of the trash talking comes for people that join within that last few days. Someday they will learn the message boards are not where games are won...... it is won on the field of play so come Saturday we will find out how it plays out so all of you trash talkers just SHUT UP if you are a Hebron fan handle youself with some class.

It happens every year during the playoffs. <_<

I can deal with the best of the smack talk, but 08 is talking out his arse. He needs to sit back and look at stats from all season long. From the stats I have seen, these two teams are neck and neck in the running and passing game. Hebron may be big and physical, but it's not like we haven't played that type of tam before. Both teams are on a mission and should Hebron move on past Wylie, I'll be right there cheering them on but in the meantime, no way will I concede that we will lose. As far as most of our players being hurt, don't really know who you are talking about. Alessio is going strong, Woodall has not been hurt all season and he is dynamite in a small package no matter what side of the ball he is on, Bru isn't and hasn't been injured, Ball is back in full force, Abbott is tough as nails, Boe's hasn't been hurt all season, etc. So I'm not sure what you have heard, but we all be there and most will be 100%. 08, as far as Robinson, you would like to think that with him that's all you need, well, quite honestly, you guys have made it this far without him so it is quite evident that he is not your only weapon so give the others some credit. I hope Robinson is healthy, not just so he can play on Saturday, but I hate to see any player injured. If he is in the game, we will give him our best just like the Hawks will. It's truly a good thing though that the coaches and players don't think and talk like 08. But again, like I said, he's still wet behind the ears and wishing he would have an opportunity to be on the field. Like hawkshammer said, if we were as bad as 08 would like to think we are, we wouldn't be going 4 deep.

Prod,

Didn't the Pirates lose some receiving talent right after the regular season? I can't remember the specifics or what kind of injuries they were.

Brubaker was out for disciplinary reasons for the first two playoff games, but he's back. Gibbs quit but we still have our sure-handed Boe and Ammerman to add to Brubaker. Three good rbs and one that has the ability to break one.

No sweat. We're just not anymore bangedup than anyone else at this time of the season. I'm not offended by any means. In fact, maybe this post can turn into one of those Denison/Wylie posts we had a couple of years ago on another site. Like I said earlier, if we do lose this game, you can bet I'll be rooting for Hebron to bring the trophy home, but that's a big "if". lol I love the smack and bantering as well as the next one, it's when you get the morons on here who try to talk as if they know it all. We all have those. Good luck to you guys also. Hawk will tell you that I'm a pretty good smack talker.

Hawk, yes, I forgot about O'Quinn. Don't know how I forgot him but he has been the go to man the last few games with Bru out. But in all honesty, our offense has to play a complete game this week (like they did in the second half against WW) or we will go home early and the OC needs to get past the conservative game calling. We had O'Quinn last season. He's just a junior. He's the one that took that big hit last year in the Lincoln game.

And to be honest with you guys, I would much rather face Everman but we're not, so hopefully history will repeat itself, and David will defeat Goliath one more time.

Junior QB carrying Hebron
Without injured star running back, load falls on Aubuchon

02:31 AM CST on Tuesday, November 29, 2005
By DAMON L. SAYLES / The Dallas Morning News

CARROLLTON – Two-way standout Ryan Leonard watched Hebron teammate Brian Aubuchon make play after play in last Saturday's playoff game against Everman.

Hebron has played three postseason games, and the further the team goes, the better Aubuchon's numbers get. All Leonard could do was smile at the fact that Aubuchon was on his team.

High Schools

More high school football
"Brian plays on confidence," Leonard said of Aubuchon, Hebron's junior quarterback. "If he feels it, you can see it. He'll make plays, just like he did against Everman."

Aubuchon (pronounced AW-boo-shon) has been Hebron's most consistent offensive threat in the postseason. He has rushed for 401 yards and four touchdowns and has thrown for three more touchdowns in pacing Hebron (13-0) to Saturday's Class 4A Division II Region II final against Wylie (10-3).

Aubuchon had 174 rushing yards and 143 passing yards and accounted for three touchdowns last week against Everman. Aubuchon has been the team's boost, particularly the last two weeks, with running back Derke Robinson sidelined with a nonsports injury.

"Without D-Rob, I knew I had to step it up. I had to get the job done," Aubuchon said. "Now we have [Wylie] and hopefully two more games left."

Aubuchon (5-10, 185) started at linebacker and was the team's backup quarterback last season. He shared time under center with Chris Miller throughout this season but has established himself as Hebron's go-to player in the playoffs.

Aubuchon also still sees time on defense. Against Everman, Aubuchon, a backup on defense because of his quarterback duties, lined up at linebacker for a series, briefly replacing Allen Hicks.

Aubuchon, in addition, is on the punt team, serving as the team's protector, the player lined up in the backfield who guards the punter.

"He's a football player. That's how you'd define him, a very solid football player," Hebron coach Brian Brazil said. "He's one of those hard-nosed guys who just loves the game and loves being out there playing."

Brazil said Aubuchon reminds him of Wylie's quarterback Zack Abbott, as both players had to make adjustments to new positions after starting on defense last season. Abbott was a starting defensive tackle for Wylie but saw time at quarterback as Chase Gibson's backup.

"I miss defense, but I like offense, too," Aubuchon said. "It's been a fun change."

Leonard added: "We have a run threat at quarterback with him there. Yeah, we miss him on defense, but he's making things happen on offense."

Didn't get a chance to read the article, but I agree, it's about time Hebron did get a little mention in the DMN. TO his favorite, now that makes me wonder about this guy. Please tell me he's not that arrogant.

BTW: just out of curiosity and this has nothing to do with the game, but does anyone ever use ya'll's stadium for the playoffs. If I remember correctly, it's a very nice stadium.

I thinkeveryone is starting to chill. Just some friendlly smack talk now. If you are a member of the Hawks team, good luck on Saturday, and if not, well good luck to your team.

I'm really surprised there hasn't been more games played there. Again, if I remember correctly, it is a very nice stadium.
