Brubaker was out for disciplinary reasons for the first two playoff games, but he's back. Gibbs quit but we still have our sure-handed Boe and Ammerman to add to Brubaker. Three good rbs and one that has the ability to break one.

everman01, first of all, I didn't get to make that game last season and second of all, i doubt any of our players were saying the things you claim they were. maybe some of the fans, but not the players because Coach Ball does not tolerate that. and are we supposed to believe your fans and players are squeaky clean. as far as lincoln, i guarantee you, you guys would not have given them a better game. other than kilgore, they pretty much spanked everyone last season and came very close to taking the title. what, i think there were a couple of OTs before the championship was decided. not trying to be ugly, but it sure sounds like you have some sour grapes harvesting in your soul. and to think i have cheered you guys on for the last couple of years. even drove as far as grand prairie to watch you guys in the rain last season against soc and pulled for you all the way knowing we would have you the next week. made a contribution and prayed for corey fulbright when he was injured as did a lot of wylie fans, but to each his own. but quite honestly, your feelings will not make or break my spirit or my team so put that in your pipe and smoke it. quite honestly, you have just put yourself on the same level as you claim the players and fans were on.

Looks like hebron has the edge on paper. brenham fan here and don't know much about hebron but it would be great to play for a state title against you. Just a guess, but i say hebron over wylie 35 to 20. We have a big game against a good lamarque team. good luck this week!

We would love to see alot of Everman fans in our stands Saturday. No joke though you guys have my respect, yall are an awesome football team and a classy one at that! Even after the game they wernt trash talking or anything, they were telling us good luck and go win state!

first off, mr. everman01, i'm not a mister. secondly, you are correct, i was using my legal knowledge, since that is what i do for a living, to scout out the dogs so i could pass this on to the coaching staff who were already there watching for themselves knowing i would not be present for the game against everman. now that makes a lot of sense. as far as wylie fans not being the only ones who supported fulbright, nowhere in my post did i state that. everyone that had fulbright in their thoughts and prayers did it because they what they chose to do. what does all of that have to do with the posts, nothing in general other than your dogging the Pirate players and their fans and you really don't have any facts to back up your apparent discord for this team whose only crime was to beat the bulldogs in a hard fought battle last season. now as far as lincoln, if you really believe your team could have walked away with a much tighter score, i find that quite amusing considering it took a last ditch effort and ot to pull out a victory against soc. lincoln would have you guys for lunch just like they did just about everyone last season with the exception of kilgore. as far as the players being under the coach's total control, never said that either. what i did say is that the whole freaking team as you tried to make it sound, in no way was vulgar and rude to the everman fans and generally where there is a spark there is a flame. but then again, what do i know. you say it's so, so i guess it is. now, should we pull out the win against hebron this weekend, and our chances are much better than your teams chances were, i guess you can start pulling for either aledo or frenship to take us down. we are very evenly matched with hebron and if both teams bring their "a" game for four full quarters, the fans will definitely get their monies worth. as for you, i could really give a rat's arse what you think and what your hopes are. if hebron should pull out the win, you can bet most of pirates fans will be there cheering them on. i'm just glad to know that most everman fans that i have dealt with and 99% of the hebron fans don't have your mentality for sour grapes. so if you choose to continue to sound off, go ahead, i've said my piece whether you think it makes sense or not but ignorant, i assure you, i'm far from ignorant which is exactly what you're making yourself out to be by posting such off the wall posts with your "i know it all" ramblings. i am everman the great01. not

Not to enter into an argument Everman or Proud...just wanted to say that I have been saying the basic thing about the Hawks the last 2 years. In no way am I "singling out" any one team (Wylie). The direction of my comment is not towards the Pirates. My point is... I truly believe Hebron has some special players.....that are extemely focused this year. Hey this team has a great bunch of kids on it...but so did last years. The Hawks simply did not get it done in 04. The failure last year is driving this year's team. All I ask is that they bring their "A" game with them the "rest of the way". If thats the case.....ughhhhh...wow!

Taunting is a part of high school football on the field. Rivalries wouldnt exist without trash talk. Just as long as they are not twisting ankles and cheap stuff like that, im fine with it. Clark Harrell was a trash talker and a very cocky guy in the ennis hp game, but he didnt back it up on the field. Its all good but you gotta know when to stop. All this might be off the subject but o well good luck to both teams

We played both teams the first two weeks of the season. I thought then that Hebron was a touch better but that both teams would no doubt get better as the season progressed.

My reference point with both teams was so long along ago (weeks 1 & 2) it is hardly relevant. and both teams have improved.

So, based on what I saw then and a review of common opponents now, I woudl still give Hebron a slight edge but it should be a really good game that could go either way, basically a toss up.

If I have to say, I would go with Hebron by 3 or less.

i promise no one, fans or players, believe hebron is a push over. no one that has made it this far is a pushover, but you really don't think i'm going to get on here and post that your boys are going to beat my boys, do you. no matter the outcome, and i'm predicting a pirate victory, if both teams play up to their potential, it will be one heck of a game, and imo, much better than the slc/plano game.
