I'm still waiting for a team to top 7 points against the N.S. defense.

northshore will lose at Rice Stadium -- that's Lamar's backyard. Get ready for the pain!

Even if Lamar breaks 21 points, there is no way N.S. will be held under 28 points, so I see no way for Lamar to win.

I know for sure houston lamar will win in a dog fight. North Shore has not played a team with an aggressive defense like Lamar and Lamar has shutdown some of the areas top offenses such as booker t. washington, yates, port arthur memorial, kempner, and westside and also north shore hasnt really played anybody that good this year but pearland and even pearland is not all that good they are just overrated. this is going to be a game of whoever make the less amount of mistake and turnovers and whoever can capitalize on big plays so we will just have to wait and see what happens saturday.

1st - I don't put much faith in pre-game predictions, but I would have to assume that Collier-Sharp and THSF have some idea of what both these teams can accomplish. And for N.S. to have a 40 point spread, that doesn't say much for Lamars' hopes of winning.

2nd - Kelson better pick offense or defense and put 100% effort into it because there is no way he will be able to shut down Reid or McNeese and then try and play offense and score against a defense that allows less than a touchdown a game.

3rd - North Shore beat Lamar 35-7 in 1996 in the Region 3 finals, and history will repeat itself.

LHS,

If Lamar is so good, please explain to me your score with Madison. They were HORRIBLE. NS destroyed them with their 4th string!!!!

1st just because lamar didnt beat madison as bad as north shore did doesnt mean anything and 2cd north shore has played teams with weak defenses and hasnt play a team with a good defensive sceme and if you watch north shore play, the only plays they run are draws, counters, and the option and lamar d-line is one if not the best in the state and north shore o-line hasnt went up against a good d-line. so just because north shore is one of the top team in the state doesnt means nothing because lamar should be one of the top teams too but they just havent gotten any respect from anyone but this week they will gain respect

First to the one who thinks that because this site has a 41 point spread NS is a shoe in... they have rated Lamar very poorly. Proof is the fact that they have averaged 44 points in the playoffs. Kempner only scored 26 because Lamar had put in their backup. This site had Lamar as big Losers their too. If you go to 5aTexasfootball.com they have Lamar ranked 21st in state. One preseason poll had them 12th. Their only loss was by three points to a team that is still in the playoffs, and Lamar actually out gained them by a bit, they just failed to convert in the Red Zone against PA Memorial. I don't know who will win this game but it should be a good one.

I am going to pic Lamar because, I don't think that Northshore is as good as the numbers show they are. I think they are pretty good. But 50 points given up on defence all year that is a little hard to swallow when you are playing quality teams. :argue:

Hard to swallow? I guess you haven't seen a game yet?
49 pts. offense a game scored and 4.6 pts. defense allowed a game.

Lamars offense and defense aren't relevant enough to change either of those averages for North Shore.

I have not seen a game that is y I was woundering about their abilities when they play a quality team outside Reg. 3 like O'Connor, Arl. Lamar, or Tyler Lee. :argue:

I have a lot to say on this topic, but I am not as stupid as the ones who made comments in the Chronicle today. Let it be known that as soon as I get home from the fieldhouse after the game on Saturday I will say what will already be known from the result......

I think lamar will win cause lamar has played quility teams this year and north shore hasnt. even though north shore is ranked one of the top teams in the state the teams that they played combined record is 39-65 and lamar combined record is 59-49

North Shore plays quality opponents everyday in practice, their #1 ranked offense against their #1 ranked defense, so when game day comes no one else compares.
