Thats like saying Your score with Terrel was close to what Hebron did to them, do you think hebron is on the same field as HP??? I dont think so! SLC is on a different level PERIOD!!!! But ill say it again, yall are KING of 4A be happy!

Willie,

You messed that up. The comparison was with either Wylie or McKinney North.

why are you guys debating pointless comparisons? I think SLC hp would be a good game. Remember the last 4A game slc played? I do it was 49-17 loss to ennis. The top 4a team can definitely play with the top 5a team. Carroll proved it by moving on to 5a and imediately dominating. However comparing results with different teams is pointless. I also was real impressed with the way trinity played. I think trinity could beat hp or slc. They seem to do everything very well and eat up a lot of time of the clock while doing so.

My top 5

1 HP
2 Kilgore
3 Texas High
4 Stephenville
5 Ennis

I know a lot of people are going to disagree , and say where 's Hebron , or Kilgore and Ennis are too high , but that is just what I think . If Ennis was DII I am positive they would have won their region and been facing CalAllen today in the DII championship game , and I think if we had some decent officiating in the LaMarque game, we would be playing Hebron today instead of CalAllen . Still ( off topic ) I am glad to see CalAllen finally get over the hump and I wish them ( and Hebron ) all the best in the DII title game today.

you cant leave callallen out of that list because of how far they have made it and how they have dominated and who they have played. i say if hebrons on the list so is CCC.

Callalen shouldn't be on this list for the same reason Marshall isn't. You need to score in the biggest game of the year to be considered one of the best teams in Texas. Both teams were shut out and frankly, embarrassed on a big stage.

Nothing that happened this weekend changed my rankings.

1 HP
2 S'ville
3 Plainview
4 TX HIgh
5 Ennis

Calallen found out what it's like to play North Tx ball and they only played the 3rd best team from DFW Metroplex not to mention East TX or Reg I.

Enjoy your state championship , But your road was EASY. I would have loved for us to play the cupcakes ya'll did on the way to the title.
If Hebron was in Region 3 they would have lost in the 3rd round.
Like I said before , the best team does not always win , and that applies to the D2 champs.

I'm not whineing you fool , I was replying to someone else that had something to say about my opinion of the top 5 teams in the state . Why don't you read the entire post thread .
By the way , your title means nothing , there are 3 teams in the DFW area that would hand you your a$$( HP , Stephenville, Ennis ) and 3 in East Texas ( Texas HIgh , Kilgore , Marshall) And you can throw in LaMArque and Connally as well.. YOu guys just got a lucky with the draw. If Ennis or Texas High had gone D2 you would have been taken care of early( and easily by either of those 2). Must be great being state champs knowing that there are 8 4A teams in the state that could beat you. Fact is , even though you are the D2 champ , Hebron is still not one of the top 5 teams in the state.

You'r in denial... if Kilgore or LaMarque were so good... Hebron would of played them instead.

I'm not in denial . I have seen Hebron play , and while they are good , they would have been beatten by either us or LaMarque . I am guessing that you have never seen either one of us play this year since you seem to think a neither of us is any good ( Congrats to the 4 all-staters from Kilgore by the way)We were hosed by the refs against LaMarque and LaMarque was beaten by a strong Brenham team . I know CalAllen beat Brenham , but if they played 10 times would bet Brenham beats them 8 out of 10 times. By the way , I see you failed to have a problem with me ranking any of those other 6 teams over Hebron.
I guess that means that you agree with me that HP , Stephenville , Texas High( who lost in the first round so by your definition should not be that good either) , Marshall, Ennis, and Connally are better than Hebron. Fact is , all of those teams ARE better than Hebron . SO even if you believe that Hebron is better than Kilgore and LaMarque ( which I do not) there are still 6 4Ateams better than them in the state of Texas. And there is only 1 team that is clearly better than everyone else , and that is HP, not Hebron. The Scotts are the true 4A champs. I have no arguement about that.

Our loss of Duke did contribute to the loss, but Marek did good. We were just up against a great defense. We were good on defense, but Hebron was good on defense and offense. And ya'lls RB was a mammoth lol

whos got a 2005 d2 champs ring?

Hebrons gots a 2005 d2 champs ring:)

and last i checked thats all that matters.

were the 4a d2 number one team, and no one can change that, you can say this team would have beat us and that team would have, but some of those teams (lamrque, kilgore, brenham) didnt make it far enough to play us, thats not our fault, and some of those teams (HP, ennis, texas high, s'ville) didnt play in the same division as us, and thats not our fault either. heck, for that matter we might as well bring up all those teams that play 5a that could have beat us if they were in 4a. all that matters is that we took the hand that we were dealt and we played our tails off and got to the title game, we won, no one beat us, and last i checked were the champs till it all starts over next year.

say what you want about how this team of that team could have beat us to our posters all you want, but that doesnt change anything, but we will defend our team to the end, because these kids deserve all the credit in the world for what they did this year, and no one, can or should degrade them after doing that. win or lose in our minds the hawks are always number one.

p.s. for all those teams that you say didnt make the 4a d2 final but "could have beat us" it really doesnt matter if they have more talent then us, some of them didnt bring the heart and emotion and some of them the cards didnt fall right to. IMO last years hebron team was much more better than this years, i would say equal on defense if not better up front last year, while having a offense that was twice as potent, but they didnt have half the heart of this years team and its clear that heart is the biggest factor when it comes down to high school football.

thanks hawks for a wonderful season, and to all those team that played this year congradulations on your valiant efforts and best of luck to you in the upcoming seasons and sports.
