Food ramblings:

1. Only Burger King should be allowed to mix ketchup and mayo on thier burgers. And only the Whoppers. Smaller burgers should be basic mustard and ketchup.

-therefore-

2. Jack In The Box should NEVER put ketchup and mayo on a burger (unless ordered). They should use thier "secret sauce" on thier burgers.
3. Whoever thought of the Orange Chicken Skillet for Applebees should get the Noble Prize.
4. McDonald's should offer the Quarter Pounder without cheese at a reduced rate like they used too.
5. El Fenix should offer a plate that includes a beef enchilada and a taco. Anything close has a cheese enchilada(s) instead of beef.
6. Somebody should find out how Shakey's pizza used to make thier pizzas and revive the chain.
7. Peperonni pizza should be a food group all it's own.
8. Burger King should bring back The Big Plain.
9. Fast food places should quit assuming everybody wants an egg on thier breakfast sandwich in the mornings and make more items that don't include eggs. You can only eat so many Sausage Biscuts from McDonald's before you tire of them.
10. Every town with a population of more than 10,000 should have a Chic-Filet in it.
11. Every town needs at least one decent Chinese buffet.
12. Bring back the charm and small town feeling of the roadside diner.
13. Every restraunt in the world should quit assuming everybody is no taller than 5'9" and weighs less than 220 and make chairs and booths for bigger people.
14. Taco Bell should go back to using real meat in thier food and not this meat paste substance that almost smells like dog food at times.

Do you think USA could ever be the best in the world at Soccer?

The Brazillians and so many in Europe play almost nothing but soccer that except for the occasional phenom like Freddie Adu (who was brought here from another place) I do not see us ever being any higher then top 5. Heck France of all places could probably beat us.

OregonDLS, No, the USA will never be the best in the world at soccer. They might win a World Cup at somethime, but they will not be the best.

Not just Europe and Brazil, but all of South America, East Asia, and many African nations are developing great soccer teams. Even though soccer is getting more popular in the US, it will never match the amazing phenomonon soccer is in the many other nations.

In America, we like to say we are die-hard fans of football. How we support our team does not come close to how soccer is in other nations.

You say something about France, actually the French are one of the top soccer nations in the world, and there is no shame in losing to them. Some of the best soccer players in the world come from France. I will not go into detail, yall will not know who I am talking about, but just know that France has produced some of the best soccer players in the history of the World.

The US could be top 5, they are getting close to that, but we will not be number one.

This is a thread to ramble about anything, right? The rant in the cheap oil thread reminded me of something. Buried technology that would use alternate fuel sources or at least get better MPG was mentioned.

Take this for what's it's worth. BTW, I'm not jerking a chain here. If a chain was jerked, mine was. But I'm not here. I'm just rambling about what I was told.

I knew a man who claimed he once worked on a project where they were able to ignite the oxygen atom in water. IOW's burning water. He claimed he saw it done and that a way to set the oceans on fire was set up. He claimed there is a line that leads to both the Pacific and Atlantic and if ever this doomsday weapon went off, the only way it could be stopped before reaching the oceans was a nuclear bomb set at each inlet.

Sounds too "out there" for me and this guy was a little crazy, but who knows?

If you buy that..................... your probably a Democrat! :P

So what's the deal with...

This thread is like a typial episode of Seinfeld.

Speaking of Jack in the Box, or as I like to call them, J in the B :D ...

If they are going to have their Jumbo Jack "on sale" for $.99 for 4-5 years or however long it has been, then why don't they just make $.99 their regular price?

Interesting... I was going to use the cents sign, but I could not find it on my keyboard. I am at work, so it make be a cheapy keyboard, but come to think of it I have never seen a cents sign on my keyboard at home either. I had to use the $ & call it $.99.

J in the B is notorious for coming up with really great menu items, then yanking them after a year or so. Let me take you back some 10-12 years ago, maybe longer. They used to have an item called the Chicken Mushroom Sandwich. It was made w/ Chicken breast, mushrooms, swiss cheese on a sourdough bun. Mmmmm, mmmm! :tongue1: Then they replaced that sandwich with an inferior, though still very good bacon Cheddar Sandwich. This was also made with Chicken breast, but had bacon & cheddar cheese on a sourdough bun. It just hasn't been the same since then. J in the B is one of my favorite fast food places, but I wish they's stick w/ the good stuff. Those were some of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had.

Taco Bueno recently had a chipotle Burrito, which didn't last but a few months. That was very good as well. Bell's menu changes every six months, except for the standard items. They just raised all their prices BTW! :swear:

What's your favorite fast food place(s)?

This thread IS "Ramble about anything"......Right? :)

O.K. I just hate to see a football player during a game stand on the sideline wearing a BASEBALL CAP. Can't he make up his feeble mind? We don't see during a BASEBALL game a baseball player on the sidelines wearing a FOOTBALL HELMET! :boo:

O.K. WHy is it that on national TV News the REPORTERETTE (who is brushing her hair back and smiling) while telling us about tragic news and death of Americans? - ----- is that just a habit?.....or something else? :ban:

My bad, Exporter. But i dont see what is so wrong with wearing a baseball cap on the sidelines. :)

You guys need to shave your dome like misterclean, then you won't have (or be able) to wear a cap. I look like E.T. with a cap on!

I take care of my hair, I pity the man who attempts to lay a hand on it once it is fixed in the morning. I'll not have it shaved.

I couldnt deal with the glare.
