Never played against Hall, but all I've heard and read about him is "he was the greatest". But, I practiced against Earl everyday, and I can tell you that Hall could not have run any harder.
That's a tough one ... gotta go with Campbell.

The Tyler Rose is a worthy pick, but I have to go with the Sugarland Express.

He came out of A&M as a junior expecting to be drafted high.... he wasn't.... and Slocum told him it was too early. I have no idea where he is now...... but I do remember a great run he had against then #2 Nebraska at Kyle Field to help knock them off.

Yes, and had Slocum continued to run Toombs against OU (they couldn't stop him), A&M would have beaten OU. Instead, you get a pass in the short flat that goes the other way (that's a 14 point turnaround in my book). In any event, the image of Toombs carrying half the OU defense on his back for about 17yards left an impression.

Go Horns!!

Yes, but the flats pass was actaully a seam pass trying to hit the tight end up the middle that Roy Williams intercepted and returned for a TD...I was there heartbreaking...Damn that Roy Williams guy.

YOU LEFT OFF HARVEY WILLIAMS (HEMPSTEAD 85, LSU, OAKLAND RAIDERS), JOHNNY BAILEY (YATES 86, TEXAS A&I, VARIOUS PRO TEAMS) AND THE BEST EVER, ANTHONY BYERLY (NEWTON, UT (CAREER ENDING INJURY). LOOK UP AB.

AFL Player Bio Ja'Mar Toombs, FB/LB, Dallas Desperados

Ja'Mar Toombs

AFL GAMES PLAYED (regular season): 2003 (8).
AFL NOTES: The Desperados were looking for another bruising fullback/linebacker when they signed Ja'Mar Toombs on Jan. 2, 2003. Toombs made his Arena Football League debut with Dallas last year and took the league by storm to earn All-Rookie honors despite not having any professional experience. Toombs brings the same work-horse mentality to Dallas that helped him succeed at Texas A&M. He is looking to continue his success with Dallas through his second season after learning the intricacies of playing on both sides of the ball last spring.

AFL 2003: Toombs finished his rookie indoor season being named to the AFL All-Rookie team after totaling 69 yards and five touchdowns on 21 carries on offense and eight tackles, one for a loss, one sack and a pass defensed from his linebacker position. In his AFL debut against New York (2/2), he totaled 21 rushing yards on one carry - the longest single run and highest single-game rushing total in club history - and a touchdown. Against Chicago (2/9), Toombs once again led the squad in rushing with 11 yards on three carries. He was inactive for the next four games but returned to action against Grand Rapids (3/16) to carry the ball three times for seven yards and a score while posting his first career tackle. At Carolina (3/21), he picked up his first sack on a fourth-and-goal play to seal a Dallas win. He also posted a tackle and a pass defensed against the Cobras while carrying the ball three times for 14 yards and a touchdown. Against Indiana (3/29), he picked up a carry for eight yards before being inactive against San Jose (4/6). At Indiana (4/13), he picked up four carries for 11 yards and two touchdowns while adding 1.5 tackles with one for a loss. At Chicago (4/20), Toombs posted his best defensive effort, picking up 3.5 tackles while totaling three rushes for no yards. He was inactive for the next two games but returned to action at Georgia (5/10) to register three carries for minus three yards on offense and a tackle on defense. He missed the season finale at Grand Rapids (5/18) with a thigh contusion and was inactive against Georgia (5/24) in the teams only playoff game.

OTHER PRO EXPERIENCE: None

COLLEGE: Despite playing only three years for the Aggies, Toombs accumulated 1,360 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns on 350 carries as the team's fullback. 2000 - In his final season at A&M, he finished third on the team with 355 rushing yards on 117 carries while scoring a team-high 14 touchdowns. He also caught 10 passes for 96 yards. 1999 - He led the team with 583 rushing yards and nine scores on 147 carries as a sophomore. 1998 - As a true freshman, Toombs saw action in every game and rushed for 422 yards and three touchdowns on 86 carries while also catching six passes for 54 yards. He added 62 rushing yards and a score on 10 carries and two receptions for 19 yards in the Nokia Sugar Bowl. He was the only true freshman not to redshirt for the Aggies.

PERSONAL: Ja'Mar Leon Toombs was an All-America running back for Kilgore, Tx, High School, rushing for 1,325 yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior. As a junior, he accounted for 1,285 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. He was also a member of the Kilgore track team, winning the class 4A state championship in the shot put. Ja'Mar participated in The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program last Christmas, providing less fortunate children with clothes and toys.

Was Jamar that good in high school? I never saw him because Ennis knocked him out of the game in the first quarter when they beat Kilgore. Anyway my vote goes to the Sugar Land Express.

I wasn't there, but I was watching nervously on TV and it was a flat pass and it was picked off by Torrance Marshall and taken back for a TD.
