JJ Johnson, over 2,400 yards this season alone. Usually doesn't play for most of the 4th quarter....hear me now, but believe me later, if he gets around the corner OR past your linebackers up the middle, IT IS OVER! Just send out the field goal defensive team.lol la marque is good, but if clemens can run that stretch play like pearland was running against them then its goona be a long day, but then again fozzy whittaker was at rb "4.3 down hill runner" UT commit, does clemens have a Running Back like fozzy?

That is just it....he WON'T get outside and run big. Clemens is too one-sided. La Marque is so well balanced on Offense and Defense. Clemens will be worn out trying to catch La Marque.

This guy posted all over the place last night at around 4:30 this morning. Says the same things about LM that he says about Alamo Heights. I am honest and speak about my team's strengths...this clown acts like he has seen every team in the state play. Some one asks about our running back, I reply. Then he says we are too one-sided. Now if ANYONE KNOWS ANYTHING about Clemens, it is that their DEFENSE that is their main strong point. I think your souce of information is limited to these boards. That is just it....he WON'T get outside and run big. Clemens is too one-sided. La Marque is so well balanced on Offense and Defense. Are you going to be hanging outside locker rooms looking for autographs from the boys after the game?

Big Al: This guy is some "wannabe" from Corpus Christi Flour Bluff, whom Alamo Heights beat. Nothing much ever comes out of Corpus Christi in football these days. Year after year after year, CC Calallen is supposed to be the second coming of Southlake Carroll, but they never last in the playoffs. This guy just thinks because AH beat his team they're the best around. We'll see Saturday. Good luck to Schertz Clemens. I think you guys can take LaMarque. Being in 5-A before helps alot. Now whether you guys can take Waco is another matter.

Calallen never lasts in the playoffs????? Buddy you better do you homework. We may have never won a state championship, but there are so many teams out there that would love to be in the playoffs every year (which we have been for 22 consecutive years) like Calallen. To just GET to the playoffs is a dream for a lot of teams and that's something we do every year. Now maybe I misinterpreted what you meant by 'they never LAST in the playoffs' but I strongly disagree with you. Calallen is always there IN THE PLAYOFFS. (been to the semi's several times at that!) Don't go mouthing off just because some guy gives his opinions just like you just did. How do you know that it's because they got beat by AH. DUH! Maybe because they played against them & saw how good they are??? Opinions vary and yours counts as much or as little as everybody elses.

EAT CROW.
Cove was not ready for the AH QB.
La Marque Defense dominated Schertz-Clemens.
27-0 in the first half was plenty for La Marque to win 27-14.
16-4A will be Runner-up in Div I & II

I live in Corpus Christi, but work in Texas City (near La Marque). I stay during the week in La Marque. I watch all of the La Marque games on Wednesday evening at 7 PM. The only bad game they had was against 5A State Semifinalist, Pearland. 24-14.
I saw Alamo Heights play Flour Bluff and LC. AH did as I stated. La Marque Defense stopped Schertz. La Marque was up 27-0 in first half and won 27-14.
So where was I wrong at so far?
By the way, I spent 22 years in the Army in the first Gulf War, Somalia, Bosnia, and Iraq. I know that Copperas Cove has som military boys on the team. I just saw that Alamo Heights was a dominant team like Highland Park was last year in 4A Div I.

You guessed right that they would stop the Clemens offense. Our season is over and we are proud of our boys. Replaying the game here is pretty much useless on my part. I am visiting the board to make sure I am not "running away" and not letting those that want to close the loop with me some respect.I live in Corpus Christi, but work in Texas City (near La Marque). The second coming of Southlake Carroll? Where the hell did that come from?!? We never claim to be anything but a strong contender in 4A every year. I'm not even sure how we got into this coversation. Never last in the playoffs? If you look back over time, we're more often than not still playing while 95% of the other 4A schools are well into roundball.

La Marque demolished Waco by 20 points. Now that was a defensive show by La Marque to spot a team 14 points and then dominate them with 34 unanswered points.
Defense wins Championships!
Where was that Waco Defense in the 2nd Half???
Better yet, where was the Waco Offense in the 2nd Half???

two plays two tds; bout it for waco. La Marque responded to adversity, Waco folded. All of you Waco supporters that doubted the dominance of La Marque....line up for your heap pile of crow.
