Romo will be fine. He played well in the Pro Bowl. True professionals overcome adversity. It's a huge sign of maturity. Only childish attitudes keep reminding people of their miscues. Are you really telling me that there is no chance Romo blow's it

Aikman had a 5 INT game and threw a 105 yd. INT for a TD against the Eagles in Dallas. I think it's safe to say that those two stats don't haunt him.
Who is your team Carter?

Yeah it's funny he's calling romo a bust. Romo came in and took dallas to the playoffs in his first NFL action. I'd say romo isn't a bust.......he's a surprise. Now if he plays aweful for the rest of his career he could be a bust by definition......because people now have high hopes for him. A bust by definition would be david carr. He was the first pick in the draft.......the franchise pick. What's sad is houston was still in denial last season when they had a shot at both young and leinart. I hope i'm wrong about carr. Maybe he'll come around. But i keep saying that every year. His team is the dumb Texans

Since the cowboys gave crayton a second round tender, it appears he will be back. if jarrett is there do the cowboys take him. obviously glenn will be back. So who would then be the odd man out?cowboys sign BUQB brad johnson, and kicker grammatica. A marc colombo contract is still on the table. Should the cowboys bring back owens? They could clear extra cap space by cutting him.

Sources: Dallas Cowboys will deal Jason Ferguson to Miami 10:39 AM CT
Nose tackle to again be reunited with Bill Parcells

IRVING – The Cowboys will trade nose tackle Jason Ferguson to Miami, according to two sources, adding to the Dallas flavor in South Florida.
The Cowboys and Dolphins will swap sixth-round picks this year and the Cowboys will receive Miami's sixth-rounder in 2009. The order of the picks in the '08 draft will be revealed when the league sets the compensatory picks at the NFL owners' meetings. But the Cowboys will have the first pick in the sixth round based on Miami's 1-15 record last season.
Ferguson played in only the season opener against the New York Giants before tearing his biceps. With the play of Jay Ratliff – and subsequent extension that included an $8 million bonus – and the arrival of Tank Johnson, Ferguson became expendable.
Ferguson is healthy and will anchor the Dolphins' switch to the 3-4 defense. He will also reunite for the third time with executive vice president of football operations Bill Parcells, who initially drafted him with the New York Jets. He will also see familiar faces on the coaching staff with Tony Sparano, Paul Pasqualoni, Kacy Rodgers and Todd Bowles and in the front office with general manager Jeff Ireland and pro personnel director Brian Gaine.

In Cowboys news...
They will be returning to Oxnard, California this summer due to a confict in scheduling with the Alamodome in San Antonio.
News is also out that they are taking a look at wide reciever Javon Walker, who was recently released from the Denver Broncos.
They also resigned 4-time pro bowler tackle Flozell Adams on Thursday. Terms are not currently available, but, they say it's longterm and should allow for Adams to finish his career in Irving/Arlington.
Speaking of Arlington, webcams show that they have made tremendous progress on the roof and outside of the new stadium.
Fullback Oliver Hoyte was released on Thursday.
Dallas has four players in free agency- running back Julius Jones, safety Keith Davis and cornerbacks Jacques Reeves and Nate Jones.

Yes, I saw that lorenzo and figured you had too. The article I posted I ran across on another site. It didn't make ESPN, or at least I didn't see it if it did.keep the news coming nedfan. the cowboys also gave restricted free agents barber and canty a one year tender. If anyone is able to steal one of those two away they would have to give up a 1st for canty and a 1st and 3rd for barber.
There should be lots of news in the next few weeks leading up to the April draft. Things could get interesting.
You know what else is interesting? Some fans get really upset when they hear rumors like Barber being traded with the picks to get a shot at McFadden. But the same people would probably not hold a grudge against Barber if he flew the coop in free agency. The way I see it is that the players show no loyalty to their teammates, upper management, or their fanbase when they leave for the "big bucks", so why should I shed a tear if they come up on the trading block when management is only trying to improve their talent. Loyalty is a two way street and Jay Novacek is the only one I can remember in recent history who showed any......just a thought.
tarpon, I think Thomas will be a good fit.

Anyways, what rumors got started? Who got angry? Did I miss some excitement in the media and up at Valley Ranch?
In Cowboys news...
Cornerback Jacques Reeves was signed by the Houston Texas. He had been released to free agency as earlier reported in this thread.
A former All-American at Rice, former All-Pro with the Steelers wide reciever Buddy Dial died at age 71. He requested a trade to Dallas, where he broke his leg and dealt with back problems, leading to his retirement after three seasons with the Cowboys.
Oliver Hoyte was signed today by the Kansas City Chiefs. He had been released as earlier reported.
Despite rumors he would sign with Dallas, cornerback Drayton Florence signed with the Jaguars.
There is atleast one NFL beat writer, from Boston, of course, expecting Dallas to be the number one pursuer of Randy Moss.
The Dallas Cowboys are the NFC's leader, with early 8-1 odds of the Cowboys winnings the next Super Bowl. They are the early 11-4 favorites to win the NFC Championship.
One of atlesat ten teams, the Cowboys have contacted free agent wide reciever Javon Walker.
