:coolhat: Also forget to mention at our first practice Friday the girls were very sore. Now that BB is over ALL girls lift weights and do agility drills two are three days a week. My complaint is the BB girls do not lift during BB season so why should the softball girls lift during softball season.

:coolhat: The Bluekatts were to play Hamilton however they canceled due to boys being in playoffs. Coach found us a game against Wylie JV. Wylie Varsity and JN Varsity played first then beginning at 6:00 we played for 30 minutes at most before game was called due to darkness. Bluekatts do not have another game until Early tournament! By the way....Wylie was spanking JN 8 to 0 until Wylie pulled Marlene the pitcher which allowed JN to start pounding the ball and made it 8 to 4 so Heather (wylie coach) put Marlene back in and struck out 2 and game was over. I heard that Bangs got spanked in Grandbury like 16 to 0 and then beat by Comanche pretty soundly.

11-10

We are missing 4 starters from last years squad...I guess they will join us on Monday. We are suppose to go to Cisco Tuesday but not sure how that will play out if our boys basketball advance after tonight. Dang I hope the weather allows us to play out the tournament next weekend.

:coolhat: I thought Early might have 4 to 6 players out at this time. At this moment the forecast is nice weather. I believe that would be a first for this tournament! Hopefully, it will turn out this way but if history repeats itself.............BAD WEATHER is headed this way beginning Thursday! I just know the Bluekatts need GAMES!! To date we have played no scrimmages and only a 30 minute game!

You are correct about the weather.

I sure hated to see our girls lose last night but I am excited about getting the other girls back in a softball uniform.

I think traditionally softball is slow getting started in these parts but it will be well worth the wait come district time. I am anxious to see what Wall and Grape Creek have to offer..I am sure it will be like the rest of the athletics in this district..Competetive till the end !!!

I see where Cahoma and Hawley are ranked 4 and 5. It will be a rough rode to get thru this region..

:coolhat: I guess Hawley should be ranked with all the players they have returning from last years squad however the Katts faced them twice last year and took care of them both times. PeeWee is a good pitcher but not dominating and Ms. Cobb is a very good player who has a GREAT bat but other than those two it is my opinion they are an average team. Hope the Katts get to face them before district but I doubt it as we do not have any games scheduled!!!!

Are you suggesting, had the Katts took 3rd in district instead of 2nd last year, they would have gone on to the regional finals to face Cahoma ?

:coolhat: No guarantee of that but it would have been an easier road than 2nd place who had to face Sonora. Katts had Hawleys number all year. We matched up well with them and both games pounded PeeWee. Have know and played around her and Heather for many years. Too bad Heathers knees will not allow her to catch as she is great. Anyhow, we discussed how it would be better for us to take 3rd than 2nd. CC we knew we should win but Sonora was another story. Their pitching was just to strong for us. Played good and scored plenty of runs but 3 run homer from pitchers broke our backs. I was impressed that during district Sonora 10 run ruled Wall both games. Just like few years back.........district champs both years and faced Prosper one year and Aubrey the next and both were state finalist those years. If Katts had gone another route they should have gone a few deep instead it was over instantly.
