Hidalgo High School (32-AAA) has just added new turf to their stadium this summer. I think its pretty good for a 3A school to have turf already. Ahead of many bigger schools. It is much darker than Boise States' blue turf. Its Navy Blue. As you can see the stadium is still under construction.

It looks nice, but I would prefer to stick to the "normal" turf color..........green is just fine for me thanks! Would love for our 4A school to have a new stadium and hopefully soon........BUT NOT WITH that color turf.

I wonder if birds in the area will confuse the field for some sort of pond and dive into it head first. It happens at Boise State...

Oh, I know. It's just something that I've always heard said about the playing field there. Right up there with "Pop rocks and Coke will kill you" in terms of believability, though. That is urban legend, it never happend at Boise State.

I never heard of birds doing dives into the blue turf and thought that would be awesome to see...was sure it would be on the net somewhere. Thanks for ruining my dreams HSFtBallFan!That is urban legend, it never happend at Boise State.
