move the time to 15:10 and you can hear The Woodlands band doing it. They ripped it off from Cove all the way down to the drill team back in 99 or 00 when Cove-The Woods played.

I guess Aledo ripped it off from Cove last year too.

Trust me....that song all started at Cove. They did it right when it came out back in 98 or 99. It used to get on my nerves they played it so loud...... and then The Woodlands followed it after they played in the playoffs in 99 and 00. The Woodlands even copied the Cove drill team moves to it down to a T.

How did I know The Woodlands did it? We played them in 2002 and I laughed when I saw them doing exactly what Cove used to do.

After The Woodlands snagged it...it spread like wildfire because even Houston teams that Waco played later on was doing the same thing.

Aledo didn't do it last year did they? They must have got it from someone. lol

But, it did start all at Cove way back in the day. Too bad they aren't as good as they used to be doing it.

Sweet pea - if you where at the game last year- not this year but last - You would have noticed Aledo and Cove took turns playing that song- When each team had the ball, So there one point you wrong about- Now that could mean one of two things- Either Aledo played it before- we played the Cove- or that our kids so good that they picked it up hearing a couple of times- And was able to play it back and forth with Cove the at the first meeting- See what I'm thinking all schools have access to the same music , and they play what is in at that time, You know I'm pretty sure the Fort Worth where playing at their games last year could it be that the "Cove " ripped off from them? I ws in the Cove band when we first played that song. It was written by 2 other guys, NOT Phillip gommels. It became the "Phillip" song because Phillip always started the song. All those schools that play it now got it from Cove.

Ha Ha Ha! Come on now....who really cares who started it. It worked numerous times against teams we played this year. The Aledo Band does a great job in keeping the crowd in the game and playing loud WHEN IT COUNTS. Unfortunately, it was still not enough last Saturday.

Best of luck Cove. What an awesome game! We are 100% behind you guys on Saturday!

Thanks Aledo Fan. Yalls band was incredible last saturday. It got me pumped in the stands, bringing back memories from when I was on the field not too long ago. Cove will bring this one home for everybody north of Austin(because no one south of Austin thinks anyone is good except SLC)
