Because they have rarely, if ever let HS teams play there. They especially won't this year because they have major construction going on and I bet it's a big mess right now.

Sounds like it was a great game last night .. Congrats to Cove on a big win!!

If Round Rock only holds 11,000 then there will blue shirts filling both sides. LC better get there early if they want a spot.

He is 5'7" 185, and they present the same problem Waco presented to Cove, speed, great defense and a power-I running game. The difference is that Lamar has a very effective passing game, when pressed to use it and they will line up in 3-4 WR spread at times. FEAR THE TITE TOSS! Go Stangs!

Lamar - Very effective passing game? Huh?
NB shut down the run and Lamar could do nothing.

Now that said NB probably relaxed at times when they shouldn't have, and the Lamar running back is a BEAST.

Granted, I only saw Lamar vs. New Braunfels, but still. I think if you can stop/slow the run, game over.

I have to agree, I just dont understand why they would agree on a venue that may not have enough room for everyone that may want to attend the game. Texas State would be more than enough room for all that would want to see the game.

The New Braunfels paper quoted 16,000...as packed as both sides were, I want to lean towards the larger estimate. They actually began turning people out at the gates due to the stadium exceeding capacity. In fact there was an entire section on the LC side that was full of New Braunfels fans.

Please enlighten me then. Like I said, I only saw the last game they played. As I recall they completed all of 2 passes.

The stadium is not gonna be big enough. There were way more then 11,000 people at CC vs AH last year, and CC should bring more fans because it's an hour and a half closer.

Does LC travel good? According to google maps it's a 2 hour and 55 minute drive for them, and 1 hour and 10 minute drive for Cove fans. I think it will be about %65 Cove fans spilling over to the LC side.

Anyone know who is home?

I'll be on the field ringing the bell, so location doesn't matter to me. I've got my seat reserved wherever we play. I do think Round Rock ISD is a bad location, though.

I would have preferred the Alamodome because it's indoors and it being December. But I also remember Trinity and Judson playing the 5A title game there a couple of years ago and those are huge fanbases.

Lamar beat Bay City, LBJ and NB all with their passing game! I'd say tossing a TD pass to make the state finals is very EFFECTIVE! I'd say tossing a 70 yard TD pass to beat LBJ is very EFFECTIVE! I'd say that beating Bay City 62-14 is very EFFECTIVE, since they tossed several TD passes in that game. Waco doesn't score via the pass when they have to, while the Mustangs make plays via the pass when they need them!

It seems that after NB lost all they can do is make excuse's of why. I think the NB Coach's did everything they could to try and win that game, but so did Lamar. Thank's for pointing that out rkhufu7.

A lot of people on here are not very smart. I see lots of completely misguided arrogance.

All I gotta say is: hold onto your hats, Copperas fans. You're gonna see a show!

Yes, you will see a show.
A first-class show of what Cove is like. Griffin and Vital will blow your defense to shreds.
LC's offense really hasn't scored that much this year. You guys beat Austin LBJ by 3 points in OT, 17-14. LOL.
Your RB will get his yards, score 3 TD's and Cove will romp over you guys something like 42-21.
