Kids playing in the US ARMY H.S. Bowl Game in San Antonio today at noon on NBC

have said where they will go to College. ( not all of course)

Here is what I gleaned from the S.A. newspaper.

Number of Recuits college

8 ............................ Notre Dame
7 ...........................Univ of Texas
6 ........................... USC
3 .......................... Ohio State
3 .......................... Michigan
3 .......................... Oklahoma
2 .......................... LSU

There is one kid from Ventura, CA who they say is very "Charles-like" who is looking at Texas as his choice.
No other Big-12 schools were mentioned as having kids from this game.

ND has 14 recruits in the game. The running back from Ventura, CA is Darrel Scott and he is built in the Darren McFadden and Adrian Peterson mold and is a simular back. He is very good. Ohio State as well has atleast 6 recruits in the game.

DeAndre Brown from Ocean Springs MS is a beast at WR..Has a TD catch and delivered a crushing block that took out 3 defenders..Going to come down to LSU, Ole Miss or Bama for his services..

Darrell Scott is big but not anything special IMO.

Watched the state championship game of him and he is special. If he's in open space its OVA. He wasn't going to do much with Big Forston and Newman in the middle for the east squad.

What did he do in the state game against Modesto CC that impressed you because I was at that game and I was underwhelmed by him. He scored on runs where he only had to run.

A few stating thoughts about 17-18 year old kids playing in an ALL-American game and the mighty steeler01 is not impressed with a young man that is one of the top college prospects in the nation. Whodda thunk?? In a state championship game when he scored all he did was run???? Wow your good, congradulations to all these young men and good luck moving on to the colleges of your choice. They are good enough to have a choice but nothing special...............

He outran kids who had severe angle on him and it looked easy.

McGuffie looked slow he wont do nothing against Ohio State at Michigan. He had 1 good run but that was because the hole he had. when he got to the outside there were 3 kids who caught him. He was overated.

So with one All-Star game, where the offensive line worked together for a week, you can predict his collegiate career, your good.

I beg to differ. I didn't see any kids with angles on him in the state game. To add to this Modesto CC was a really slow team. I don't think any of the Modesto CC skill position players would've beat any of the St.Bonny kids in a foot race.

Did you watch the state game? When you get a toss to the outside and you go untouched for 50 yards, your not doing anything but running theirs no other way explain what he did genius. When D.S. ran up the middle he was getting hit by the first guy and going down. You act like every top prospect is always dead on. Do i need to mention the long list of top prospects who never did anything at the next level?

Once again you miss the point. This thread was started about the Army All-American Bowl it started out with a comment about a high school senior that was recognized enough by the committee to play in a very select high school bowl game and on a good enough team to play for the state championship. It amazes me how a grown adult (assuming that's what you are) can then come on a national message board and diminish the accomplishments of a young man. I would hope that he could care less what you and I think, but he doesn't deserve to be criticized by an adult that knows little about him and his life! If you were not impressed with him, maybe a comment more in the line of...

I was anticipating how ____________ would do against like competition. I was expecting more from__________ but I also understand that these teams get to work as a unit very little before they play in front of a national TV audience. I will follow his collegiate career to see how he performs at that level. Good luck to all these young men as they pursue their sport of choice at the next level.

You chose to degrade his performance in both an All-American game and a state championship. Another can ascertain in one game, his performance in a particular game a year from now. So call me another name, but I don’t agree with your discretion.

Some people are just haters. Thats what some people have done on this board ever since its inception. Thats probably why so many people have left.

Mcguffie has a nice burst and will contribute next season at Michigan. He wasn't going to run much on that East defense just like Scott wasn't. The East DLine was one of the best ever put together at this game imo. Based on this game you could say that the Cincinnati boys(Posey and Rudolph) are overrated but that is not true.

Me not being impressed by D.S. comes from watching him in person not on from this all-american game.

You can defend your position all you want, I just don't agree with calling out a kid and his performance in any game. You would not want someone doing it to your child.

To be fair, Steeler has been saying this for some time now. I don't know that he is calling out the kid's performance as much as translating it as a college recruit. In that sense I think what he has stated is not out of line, simply his personal observation.

That being said, I am a Texas fan, and will take the staff's and more profesional recruiters' opinions of DS over steeler's.
