I don't like cheeseburgers. In fact, I used to hate them and would almost throw a fit if somebody messed up my order and gave me a cheeseburger instead of a burger. I've mostly learned to live with it, but it still upsets me when a drive-thru messes up my order and I'm already miles away. (yeahyeahyeah I know, if it's this bad, I would check everytime, but I don't. I have adult ADD or something  )

McDonald's has messed up two orders of mine in a 7 day time period recently. I even asked the girl at the counter if they made me a Quarter-Pounder with no cheese and she reassured me they did and there was even a special tag on it. When I got home and pulled it out, two layers of cheese. I've saved the reciept from that order and even the little "special order" tag and I'm formulating a letter in my mind for the owners of this paticular one right now. <_<

Why don't they put the plain Quarter-Pounder back on the menu? Why do they assume if a person wants a Quarter-Pounder of a QP Value Meal, they want cheese on it? I......do.........NOT!!! :vampire:

I think they have two burgers on thier menu that don't have cheese on them. The rest do. I love Quarter-Pounders, but not with cheese. Would it be that much of a problem to put a QB without cheese back on the menu??????

And to save another thread, I wish Mexican restraunts would make more plates with beef enchiladas. Usually you have a beef enchilada plate and that's about as far as it gets. If you want a plate that has a taco, tamale or chalupa to go with it, it's always a plate with cheese enchiladas instead of beef. If I want such a plate I have to ask for a beef enchilada instead of cheese and hope they get it right.

To be honest, I've had more luck at Mexican restraunts with beef enchiladas than I do with drive-thrus and hamburgers.

Not everybody likes cheese on thier food. I am such a person. The only place I like cheese is either on pizza or lightly sprinkled on Italian or Mexican food.

good points, it drives me crazy, when i leave the drive thru and get back on the road, to find out my order is wrong,,,,my wife laughed at me the other day,
i went to the fast food chicken place and ordered an eleven piece deal,
guess what, got home and theres 10 pieces of chicken in the box, while
one piece of chicken is no big deal, its the principle of the thing, so i called
them back to let them know what happened, while she thought that was
funny, i did get some peace of mind,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I think the biggest part of the problem is the people who run the counters. Usually you have teenagers who wish they were someplace else or college kids who are simply bidding thier time till they get thier degrees. Either group seems like they could care less about wether they do you a good job or not.

You eat at.......McDonalds? :o j/k ;)

If you can stand the time element, it might be better to go inside and order take out. If someone has to look you in the eye when you show them their mistake, it should leave a more lasting impression.

Or if possible switch brands of restraunts.

As for the counter help that could vary from store to store. I've seen teenagers vary from p poor to excellent. A lot of that comes from how well the youngsters are trained. Could be for some this is their first job, too.

If you don't complain (like Da Wiz did), then they will never know if they did a poor job.

Likewise, if someone does a good job let them know. You will do the next person in line a world of good.

Sometimes it's difficult to find an English speaking person to lodge your complaint with.

THANK YOU for saying that. I just didn't have the nerve. But you're right. We have a Wendy's here in town (right across from Micky D's) where I feel like I need to know Spanish to order.

Of course, that's a whole other rant...............

LOL!! Yeah, we do. If you plan it out right, two people can eat pretty cheap there. ;) ^_^

You are correct about going inside. In fact, the latest incident where I was assured my order was right, I guess I didn't mention that it was face to face on the inside.

You have to take my word for this I guess or come and spend 6 months in Weatherford, but changing venues wouldn't work very well since it's pretty much the same all over nearly all the fast food places.

You're also correct about complimenting good service. When we go inside someplace to eat, I hope my tip reflects if somebody did us a good job. I remember being someplace in Fort Worth one night and our waitress was having an exceptionally hard time with another table. Almost to the point of tears. She did a good job for us, so not only did we tip her well, but my wife left her a note telling her how much we appreciated the way she treated us and hoped things would work out for her that night.

Be careful you don't complain too much before getting your order. I have had 2 different people tell me that you make them mad, they will spit, blow their nose, drop your meat on the ground, etc.

I do ALL my complaining AFTER I get my food, whether they are imbeciles from the get-go or not!!

Those ignorant kids working at the fast food places tend to get a little attitude and then take it out on your food.

It's just a temporary stop for most of them. Why should they care?
