It is saddening even frightening to see what is happening in our country. The state of California is honoring gays as normal human beings. That got me thinking. I don't have kids yet, but when I do, how do I keep them from becoming gay? Should I force them to play sports if they are boys? Should I buy him Playboys? Since I am Christian, scratch that last statement. What causes this? If all the gay men would have played sports growing up, would they still be gay? OK, that excludes figure skating. I'm not taking any chances, my son is getting a baseball glove and maybe dumbells on his first birthday, and maybe a football on his second. As far as girls go, I'm not sure what do with them, I guess that's Mom's department. If it were up to me, I would make her only date athletes. Male athletes that is. I want my son running into an endzone and not coming out of a closet.

that's my beef for today.

I'm gonna try to keep this short:

1. Not a topic that should be discussed on this forum.
2. Raise your kid the way you see fit, knowing that despite all you teach him/her they will at some point make their own decisions on life issues. You just have to hope you instilled the right values into them.
3. When they reach the age of maturity, allow them to experience life while also supporting them.

Please take the above suggestions to heart...

***I'm gonna allow this thread to remain open for the time being, but this will serve as warning to all to keep your comments in perspective and be respectful.***

Your post should really bring you, your family, and others that read these threads to a question: Does a person "become" gay due to the environment, or are they physically born wired different? Basically, is gay a trait or a state?

Also, you kind of threw out "normal" as anything that isn't gay. Does that mean a straight boy with a form of mental retardation is "normal"?

Just a few questions you might want to ponder before alluding to possible "remedies" or "preventative maintences" to BECOMING gay.

A couple things I did find funny on here. One, there are many gay athletes in professional sports...most just aren't out in fear of those Christians...*laughs*. Also, you don't want your son "coming out of the closet", but would rather have him "running into the ENDzone?" I about spit my drink out at the irony of that. But if that wasn't enough, I did finally break down and laugh with your comment "that's my BEEF for today."
Hahahahahahahahahahaha.

What's your definition of " normal human beings "? Does it only include "christians like you" ? Just curious. Are black people normal ? Who's the most normal guy you know ? Not trying to pick a fight, just curious.

Almost makes you want to pick a fight per the ignorance....haha.

Longhorn, just remember, if you are a black, buddist, socialist, practicing proctologist with an itchy trigger finger, you might not want to respond to this thread...hahahahahaha.

What? Those were meant to be satire? Were those more of your "jokes"? Not sure Mark Twain, a pioneer of southern satire, would enjoy this southern "satire."

*Laughs*

hahahahahaha

(And Russ...it's up to you to figure out if I'm actually serious now or just pulling your chain...*laughs*)

This is the stupidest thread ever posted on this board.

Edit: Moved to the rant board.

Edit 2: I'm sorry I couldn't hold back. I have way too many gay friends to not comment. You say your Christian right...but yet you look down upon people and judge them just for living a different life then you do. Didn't God or Jesus or whoever you worship, look at everyone equal? Please. They are just as normal as you are. They are just as strange as you are.

Get over your Christian bias and open your eyes. God help whatever child is raised by you.

Russ...the way this thread is very possibly about to head is why I said to delete this before.

Lobo, this is NOT the "stupidest" thread ever posted.
