They will not be much better. The same athletes and he will not have the control that he has had in the other places. That is why his last gig did not work out very well.

Pilot Point 2002 7-4 out in first round
2003 - 7-5 Out in second round
2004 8-3 - Out in first round.
Basically ended with him being asked to leave over allegations of recruiting.

AND PP had to forfiet a season also. GA's real win total is supposed to be 404 (I think) not 412.

A family bought a home in Pilot Point...turned out that it was in Aubrey school district. Dad wanted his freshman kid to play for Coach Moore so they rented a house in Pilot Point. After the season it was discovered that they were not living in the rental house (that house had utitlity bills that were practically nothing). It had absolutely nothing to do with "recruiting", and while they did have to forfeit those games Coach Moore was never implicated in any wrong doing and was not "asked to leave". My understanding is that he was caught in a difficult political situation (that superintendant nearly blew that district up a couple years after he left) and was not enjoying his job. The player in question did eventually get elligibilty in the district and played for two years for the Bearcats.
Also, the fact that PP made the playoffs those three years was remarkable. They did not have a lot of talent and they were playing as one of the smallest schools in 3A in a district that was pretty stout. They missed the playoffs in 2A in 2001 and the next year in 3A their 4 losses included two top-ten teams (Celina and Gainesville) and a playoff game.

I don't understand your question.Just wondering, what does Coach Moore have to "prove" if anything by coming out of retirement???

He has nothing left to "prove" - he is the winningest coach in Texas high school history. I think he was just bored and felt like he had a few good seasons left in him.

...that's just it---does the fact that "he had a few good seasons left in him" means that he wants to "prove" himself in the winning department?? If he falls flat on his face---was he wrong in thinking that "he had a few good seasons left in him" or if he has another great season is he "padding" his 'winningest coach in Texas high school history record??' Just wondering???I don't understand your question.

maybe he is just padding the retirement income.
maybe he thinks he can help Aubrey.
I wouldn't put too much into it either way, it is still just Aubrey.
