The National Prep Football Poll is compiled by high school sports experts Jamie DeMoney and Jeremy Plowman and a panel of sportswriters. The national Top 25 and regional Top 10's follow with won-loss-tie records:

FEATS OF THE WEEK: Quarterback Xavier Lee of Daytona Beach, Fla., Seabreeze took possession of two state passing records in a 37-28 loss to Live Oak, Suwannee. The 6-foot-4 blue chip recruit is now tops in Florida history with 7,555 career passing yards and 440 completions for his three-year career running the Sandcrabs' offense . . . Wallingford, Pa., Strath Haven notched its 70th straight regular season victory, the best ever run of success in the Keystone State . . . In the city of Cleveland's "Holy War" game, No. 4 St. Ignatius used a 33-yard field goal from Josiah Kedzior with less than a minute to play to defeat regionally ranked Lakewood, St. Edward, 20-17. More than 12,000 fans packed Lakewood Stadium to watch the two rivals battle for the 40th time . . . North Augusta, S.C., quarterback Brandon Satcher amassed 496 all-purpose yards in his team's 49-46 loss to Lexington. Satcher had yards passing, rushing, receiving, and in punt returns . . . It's only mid-October, but the first state champion of the 2003 season was crowned in Alaska, where Kenai blasted Eielson, 46-0, for the small school championship. It was the second title in as many years for the Kardinals. Just 24 Alaska high schools -- divided into two divisions -- participate in football.

You're right, Wiz. We probably should have jumped on Ennis' bandwagon and made them a national Top 25 team earlier in the season. They have more than lived up to their potential thus far this season.wonder what took so long to get ennis in??????????
