Another Powder Puff Bowl in the books. Team Junior hangs tough and keeps it close for about 3 quarters, but Team Senior runs aways with it at the end winning 28 to 0. The score was 6 to 0 at the half, until on the first play of the second half, Lauren Hodges blasted out of the gate and raced 65 yards for a quick TD and a 14 to 0 Senior lead. Team Senior won last year as Juniors and kept right on trucking to take the Powder Puff crown to town in 2009.
From what I hear, Team Senior will now take on the winner of the Waxahachie girls flag football game. That would be a real barn burner between the fierce rival Ells County cities. Hopefully, Team Senior will bring the Ellis County Powder Puff crown to E-town.
