San Marcos Academy athletics are pleased to thank SparkNet Creative of San Marcos, Texas and the Austin Turfcats for sharing technology with the athletics department. The duo worked together to create a site they built together for the academy to promote its improving athletics program. The site will be available at www.smbasports.com launching on Wednesday, August 12th at noon.

The site will have interactive features and more for the upcoming 2009-10 seasons from updated stats, stories, and links to local media stories that cover Bears athletics. The site also connects to both facebook fan pages and twitter. The facebook fan site is smbasports and the twitter page is located at www.twitter.com/smbasports.

"The staff at SparkNet Creative and Austin Turfcats takes great pride in producing the premier academy football site, and this is a real testament to their hard work. They did a great job with turfcats.com and I referred the athletics program to them and this just the beginning to how great the site will get, there are more tools that will be installed on both sites soon for the fans of football to have a even better sports experience, said Bears Head Coach Brian Gaylor.

The football team will also have access to video game coverages and audio of live games available worldwide. The team has also released its new helmet logo and they will be available for their season opener.
