Was wondering how high school football teams are ranked?? I see that in 2A state and regional rankings that Daingerfield is still ranked #1 even though they have one loss!! Many teams behind them that are undefeated and have played really well this season!! Why is this????

Daingerfield's (7-1 252-90)only loss (43-20) was to 3A #1 Gilmer (8-0 448-111). Even though only a 3A team; Gilmer is considered to be one of the best teams in Texas thus far this season.

Was wondering how in the world Bastrop (9-0, 6-0 in district, including a win over Westlake) is ranked lower than Westlake?
