We have had many a debate on the credibility and accuracy of computer rankings in prep football. I have always said I felt the computer rankings-be it an overall rating and/or a strength of schedule rating-were absolutely worthless and should be disregarded. It was always tough to completely convince people that I was being objective in my reasoning because my alma mater (Lakeland Fla.) always seemed to be rated poorly relative to where they were in the human rankings lists. I always said I was being objective and that if the day ever came that Lakeland was rated higher in the computers than the human lists, I would stand by what I said. Finally, the chance has come for me to do this. Lakeland has been ranked in the Freeman computer ratings all year, while they've never been ranked in the maxpreps human rankings list. Presently, Lakeland is 5th in the Freeman ratings while they are not even in the top 25 of the human ratings. So, for once and for all.........................

Computer ratings of prep football teams are still absolute BullSh*t!!
