Wow! Cowboy stadium! What a cool experience that will be for all! It's not out of the question the Elks could come out on top! Mistake free football will win you games. If we can put together a complete game we have as good a chance as anyone! I keep telling people Mansfield wasn't suppose to go very deep last year much less beat Abilene! If the Elk's make it past Arlington look out!! It could be a wild ride! If you watched Aledo hammer Birdville that's what our D must do to the Colt's offense. You can't let the QB stand in the pocket and beat you! I think our offense can mix it up and score on the Colt's D. If we can pressure the QB and make them make mistakes we have as good a chance as anyone to beat um!!
GO ELK's!!!!

That was a heck of a game wasn't it Huntman. That final drive was perfect for what we needed. It kind of reminded me of that final drive to take the game from Summit back in 2006.We'll need long drives like that against the Colts to keep their offense off the field.I might get their early to watch and support the Eagles.GO ELKS

NOW that was good old hard nose football from both teams.
Love it!!.
We will need to control the game by our running game and a good pass rush.
I will be there with my elk hat and shirt on
GO ELKS GO!!!

That was a picture perfect final drive. There was 8:21 on the clock when we started that drive and 20 seconds when we scored- we took 8:01 off the clock in 19 plays. Mostly Blake Smith, but that 5 yard run by Theo Hollars on the play before the TD was huge- we had 2nd and goal on the nine yd. line. If we gain 1 to 3 yrds on that play, it makes for a scary scenario- but he ran extra hard to get those 5 yrds and set up Blake for the TD. We are gonna have several drives like that vs.Arlington to have a chance- we must get touchdowns on those drives also-Arlington's offense is scary good- I'd recommend watching the film of their loss to Arl. Martin- Martin shut down their running game and made them one dimensional.

That's one thing we need to pass the word on is payoff t-shirt sales and ticket sales. We will be selling payoff t-shirt and tickets Thursday morning in front of the stadium and Thursday evening in front of the stadium. Then Friday at lunch 11-1 in the school.
We will have payoff t-shirts and the design will have the Cowboy stadium on it!!! The money goes towards the football team. Also you can visit our web site www.elkqbclub.com

The last drive was almost perfect. Some guy sitting next to me said it would be nice if Burleson had a pass play down there and I told him that there is no way Burleson is putting the ball in the air. The Weatherford defense was stacked aginst the trap and that left Belly to the weak side open. That was the same play that Blake scored on the long run on 4th down in the 1st half. I am proud of the kids and coaching staff for making it to Cowboys Stadium. It will certainly be a memory of a lifetime.
