Has anyone read Miracle on the Gridiron? I think it's one of the best new books on high school football that I've read or heard of recently. Anyone got a comment? Would like to know your opinion. If you haven't read it, it's written by Jim Black and can be found on Amazon.com.

Don't know if there is a movie in the works, but sure hope so. And to answer your question about Swivel Hips, it would have to be some kid with a big heart. All those boys on that team had one.

You got that right!! Not sure kids these days could handle hardcore football like the Wildcats played?!?!?

Every player and coach should have to read this. If your old school you will absolutely love this book. If your new generation you will see the sacrifices it takes to be succesfull. This should be in every sports fans stocking!

A gift is a great idea, makes all of us want to go back and play harder than we did. Feels like I left a bit more on the field that I thought. After reading Miracle on the Gridiron, anyone feel they could of played harder and sacrificed a little more???

Hard not to feel that way after reading the book. Those players are heroes and Coach Grady Graves has my respect.
Theirs is a bygone era. And that's sad.

I read it back in november when it came out. Wonderful read by a wonderful writer! Would love to see a movie about Grady's Boys.

On the author's website http://jimblackbooks.com you can watch a video of the team's 45-year reunion. Pretty cool.

Well I just finished the book today... great book! You can tell a great book when you finish it and feel like you know the people you have read about. Reading it was like reliving the past season with the Graham Steers. (Only with a slightly different outcome)... Man we are still sick about that...

Cool Miracle on the Gridiron video on You Tube. Facebook, too, I think.

Really good book.
