So what is your opinion on DV's first five games??
Do they go 5-0,4-1, 3-2, 2-3, 1-4, 0-5.
And which teams do they beat?

What does that have to do with his question?

I think DV can go 4-1 with a loss vs. Killeen. And you never know what can happen in those openers, especially traveling so far to play.

Well considering on how well yall played last year,i could see a possible 5-0 record,killeen is a great team and everybody just assumes that DV will get beat,but i will not be suprised if DV comes out with a win and goes in to that first District game with Bowie 5-0,but win or loose DV will be lookin good going into district.

Connally and Killeen are not well coached, they get by with athletes. If DelValle loses to Killeen they will be taking some beatings in 5A. DelValle is moving to 5A, but they have 2400 kids, so it's not like they are a tweener. They should not be losing to Killeen or Connally and they should make the playoffs, which is basically guaranteed with wins over Akins and Anderson. Why was this question asked, when they are a 5A schools playing 4A schools with much smaller enrollments? I think Westlake wins this WEAK district rather easily, Bowie takes second, Austin 3rd and the Anderson/DV winner gets 3rd, as long as neither falls to Akins as the Trojans did last year.

I will be modest and say they go 3-2, losing to Los Fresnos and a close one to Killeen,
but I could change my mine once I see them scrimmage Hays this Saturday.

Why do people always make a determination about a football team based on the amount of kids are in the school? It doesn't matter if the school is 5A or 1A, what matters is the kids getting out there and working together as a team. If the kids playing a sport together don't work together, the team isn't going to work. Doesn't matter how many kids are in the school. Just a larger school has more kids to pick from for their team.

Nobody thought Del Valle was going to do anything last year and we ended up winning District. Way to go Cardinals!!
As a parent of football players, my advise is the practice and make it work. Team work and working together is what makes a TEAM! Cardinals have a great year, play hard and play true!

Well DV finished 1-4 for the non district, some close games there that DV could of won,
but now the real games begin.
In this district it looks like WL could be the front runner, but Anderson could be the
spoilers to that.
