Walnut Springs' 49-48 overtime victory over Knox City came just a week after Knox City scored more than 100 points in its first-round playoff game, so obviously Springs' defense stood tall when it mattered most. Walnut Springs initially let the game slip away with a poor fourth quarter, but the defense responded in overtime with a key extra-point stop on Knox City's firs possession, then the offense took care of the rest with a score and conversion of its own.
