Both teams lack speed and playmakers.

Could you imagine the penetration that the front 7's from Trinity, Grant, or Manatee would get on this Wheaton O-line. San Antonio Madison would look like a top 10 team against them.

But every national ranking has them ranked. Week 5 we'll have our own rankings out.

Look at #34 for Maine South. Are you kidding me? That kid is a starting cornerback?

Pretty impressive at the end of the half for getting the field goal off. Good job on the sidelines on that one.

Warrenville South is decent and very well organized. Maine South is brutal.

I agree. WWS doesn't have a lot of burners but they execute well. Their coaches maximize what they have.

Rivals is up to #26 now. 4 Texas teams -- Allen, Katy, DeSoto & Euless Trinity will be somewhere in the 25 remaining. Of course there'll be a lot of shuffling from week to week and the final rankings probably won't look a whole lot like the pre-season one. With Texas not having any quality OOS GAMES; TOP BILLING WILL PROBABLY GO TO SOMEONE ELSE; MAYBE WHOEVER SURVIVES THE dls/sta GAME OR THE dbp/ GAMES WITH fLORIDA & #1 oHIO TEAM - sT. eDWARD IF THE WINNER RUNS THE TABLE.

Rivals is up to #26 now. 5 Texas teams -- Allen, Katy, DeSoto, Euless Trinity & Aledo will be somewhere in the top 25 and you can expect 7-8 from California & Florida. That'll leave 12-13 scattered amongst the rest of the country. Of course there'll be a lot of shuffling from week to week and the final rankings probably won't look a whole lot like the pre-season one. With Texas not having any quality OOS games; top billing might go to someone else; maybe whoever survives the DLS/STA game or the DBP OOS contests against 2 of the best from Florida & Ohio providing the winner runs the table -- St. Edward was #1 in Ohio last year. Of course other teams will make their appearance known. If that team out of Nevada wins out over 2 teams from California & Arizona; you might see them in the top 5.

I just watched the highlights of this game (here). WWS is a pretty good team relative to Maine South, but yeah, both these teams would get crushed weekly if they played in one of the big three states, among others.

There is no way WWS was one of the 40 best teams in the entire nation last year. No way.

Georgia is pretty well represented:
42 Grayson
31 Camden County
27 Buford
17 Stephenson
16 Sandy Creek

Those highlights were brutal.

Maine South's O-line looks really good...if they were a JV line.

Their Safety has horrible reactions and ability to read the play, and is about 140 pounds.

- That WWS's backup QB could get open and score tells you a lot about Maine South.

Georgia's a good football state. I don't know about having Buford that high though.

They're down to #11 now: I'm surprised California only has 2 teams in the top 40.

15 Cin. Colerain
14 Middletown
----------------------
Texas
38 Austin Lake Travis
32 Longview
22 Aledo
21 Katy
11 Euless Trinity
----------------------
Florida
36 Manatee
34 Miami Columbus
18 Norland
13 Cocoa
12 Dwyer

Maine South started the season brutal last year. WWS was a typical WWS team. They just do their jobs and execute. And after watching "power states" football, quite frankly you guys blow a lot of smoke. Wasnt impressed with Florida or California...

DB sized kids on the lines in FL for christ sake. I'd hate to see them venture to IL in Nov. It'd get ugly.
