To include Celina and Anna in our discussions, I included district 10, with at least 2 teams from that district.

Anna has the week off to get ready for district action. Celina hosts Van Alstyne.

Lone Star is going to try to get it together when they go to Princeton. Community has a pivotal game in Farmersville.
And then there's the "big game". Prosper plays Lovejoy in Lucas.

Van Alstyne rolls into Celina this week. I might have to go to this one since it's a bye week in Anna. Who knows... maybe I'll be in a Kenny Chesney video.Posted Image

it's too quiet here. I'll start something and let's see what happens:

COMMUNITY WILL GET THEIR FIRST WIN IN FARMERSVILLE!!

Now that I got that out of the way...I see some improvement with the Braves. They are scoring more points every week. They got this senior WR I've never heard much about who is taking over that stats for Community. Colton Hutchison is getting a tad more consistant and showing more confidence than ever before.
I'm not sure what team is going to Farmersville since I'm not sure if the JV is playing this week or not. I can find out though.

I'm not real sure what will happen this week in the Farmersville vs Community game. I think the Farmers SHOULD win it pretty handily but I'm not sure. At this point I think it's all wide open! Community could step up just as easily as Farmersville, Princeton or Lone Star could! It will certainly be an interesting district race for sure!

This is a game neither team can afford to lose if they want a shot at that coveted 3rd place spot. Community is playing a JV game this week so the team will be much smaller than what the roster shows. If by some miracle one of these 2 teams make the playoffs, I would assume we will see a preview of next season. All of the younger players will have already played 10 games on varsity and maybe some of the JV players will get to wear a varsity uniform if there are any left to hand out. With all of the injuries Community acquired, finding unused jerseys shouldn't be a problem.

But to the task at hand...the winner of game will look toward Princeton next.

I have no comment at this time. The Braves are now looking to get ready for next season.

Prayers go out to the young man that was injured for Community and had to leave by ambulance. Early reports feared that he may have broken his leg??? Does anyone have any updates on how he is doing??? Hold your head up there Bravesfan....At least during the fight that broke out, your young men stayed on the sidelines and listened to their coaches while our team ignored their coaches and cleared the bench looking to brawl....

He is going to be fine all he ended up with is a dislocated hip. We plan to have him back as soon as possible. And farmersville should have had atleast 10 guys thrown out for that.

Farmersville put together enough of a game plan to win and it was obvious from the beginning that Community was outmatched. My appreciation goes out to the Braves for continuing to fight the fight (not literally) with all the walking wounded you guys had with the team. I know there were a lot of kids on the field that were feeling a lot of frusteration and I hate to see things get out of hand like they did but I would not say the Farmers were any more at fault than the Braves were.
Keep your head up Braves. There is always a silver lining. Getting playing experience for the underclassmen will pay dividends later. And I am certainly glad the Brave player that left on a stretcher will be ok!

We have all settled on the fact that the Braves's season is done and the rest of the games are just exhibition games(sorry #40). Unless Community pulls off a HUGE miracle and defeats Prosper and Princeton, and Farmersville loses, next year is what we are shooting for.

Celina rolls into Anna this week. What can I say? How bad could it be? I'm ready for this week to be over already.

Bonham visits Van Alstyne. Could go either way.

Gut tells me closer than the Van Alstyne game. Hope beyond hope that Anna lines up well to keep it interesting.
