If you, or anyone else, have suggestions for getting more people posting on THSF like they used to, we'd love to hear them. But don't act like we're trying to make this happen. Don't act like we don't want more people to post, more donations to help improve the site, more activity in general.
Bye.

Goodbye.

I don't know how much "spreading the word" will help. I'm pretty sure they know THSF is here. For whatever reason many of the people that were very active here in the past have not been posting here for a while. At least not on a regular basis. I am back & plan to do my part to be a real part of this board, though probably not as much as I once was. I've been on a 6 year hiatus, for various reasons. Why don't you guys go out and spread the word about this website. There are plenty of others out there, but this one has the best format of any of them. If we can get more folks in here, this would be by far the best HSFB website out there. Quit whining and help make it better!
I'll be happy to provide some honest feedback in PM, cause saying some things in public just aren't worth it. I can tell you the answer to the Topic Question.

I am not active much here anymore because it is the same song and dance every year. Commish comes in and spruces it up, a couple weeks of updates and then POOF GONE for the season. Maybe comes back around SC time.
I am not bad mouthing the site to anyone or anything, but it happens every single year.
The site would do so much better as a community run by a group of people committed to keeping it updated, and I don't mean the boards, I mean the SITE as a whole.
the boards are a bit like the Benevolent dictator allows chat to go on, but stops everything on the site itself. The kind dictator needs to delegate some site duties to some respected deputies, or sell the site to a company that would keep it updated and functional
I really mean no offense in any of this, just that it is a bit frustrating year after year this happens without fail. Can't wait for the week the site goes down, right around the first week of playoffs with nary a word about it when it comes back, again there is a track record for this.
People can only stand it so long before the just go hunting for a place that gives a few cares to the function the espouse.

I just wish their was a better 4A site. The texaaaa site is terrible. I am surprised there isn't more of a 4A presence here since there is no where else really to go.

I'm not gonna lie. I agree w/some of your points.
And while I appreciate the fact that you're apparently not trying to offend anyone, I think "benevolent dictator" was a bit much.

The 5A site does have a 4A-Sixman board as well.Class dedicated sites are taking over. 3A was never big here, but 5A was and the 5A site seems like it has been growing each year.

Which no one post in.The 5A site does have a 4A-Sixman board as well.
Maybe that's what he should do. Turn this into a dedicated 4A site.

How do I say this diplomatically. It used to be a great site for ALL classifications and it still can be. We just gotta get it back to its former glory, and Commish is indeed working on it.
One of the problems I see with this board, has to do with the focus. By this I mean Who does THSF.com wish to cater to? The answer apparently is as many people as possible. Well, that's great but not feasible. Maybe if this site was run by a fairly good size large company, with a staff and budget it could work, but I doubt it. Show me another site that has all 5 classifications in Texas, as well as LA, and a National Board, not to mention FL, and is highly successful. THSF really started losing popularity when it started catering to LA, then National. The Texas posters started leaving in droves. (I hate to say I told you so, but I do remember pointing this out to the Commish) My solution, go back to just good ole Texas, leave the others behind. I realize at this point it would not be fair to the others since this is the bed we have made here.

THSF has seen its days (seasons, even) when it was just as popular as 5Atex, things here just sorta got outta hand...
