As I predicted, Farmersville storms right back and takes over the district, for now. Lovejoy has done taken over their perch on top of the district by knocking off Prosper. Princeton is still waiting for their chance to prove they are playoff contenders and this week they probably won't get that chance since they have Community next. Lone Star was their first opponent but wasn't a real test. The Rangers get the priveledge of hosting Prosper this week. Talk about a test.
Lovejoy vs. Farmersville. In Farmersville. I'd like to think Lovejoy would win that easily. But Farmersville is a very tough place to play.

Farmer fans should pray for torrential downpours for the remainder of the week, because that is the only way they have a hope and a prayer of winning this game I am afraid.... The days of domination and repeat district titles are over, at least for a little while! Lovejoy takes out two years worth of frustration Friday night and beats Farmersville by as much as they want! I don't see Lovejoy turning off the jets in this one....I think they rub it in as bad as they can. Lovejoy 70 Farmers 0! I hope I am wrong....I would simply be pleasantly surprised with a relatively close ballgame, win or lose! I just hope we don't get blasted back to the stone age this year! Kind of hard to hang with a team that truly has 2A numbers going up against a team that truly has 4A numbers. I hate the huge disparity from low to top end numbers for the 3A alignments.

I think Coach Puckett has more class than that.

On the last play of the game against Frisco, Lovejoy had the ball inside Frisco's 5 yard line. Lusby took a knee on the snap rather than trying to get that one more score to add to his spectacular 4 TD passes and 1 rushing TD for the night. In the game against the Home School boys, he put in Zach Saffle at QB for number of plays. He's a sophomore and could be the taking over the reigns after this year.

Puckett will play deep into the bench if score gets lopsided.

Personally, I hope the weather stays just the way it is right now. :-)
I'm looking forward to a good game.

By the way, Proper's offensive strategy is this: Give the ball to Juan Williams. He accounted for 65% of the offensive yards and got the ball in over 50% of the offensive plays. On kickoffs, they try to get the ball to him as much as possible. I've never seen a reverse play be so predictable.

Control Juan Williams and you control the game. Their QB is a good runner as well but not very accurate at throwing the ball.

Thanks for the info there LF! I am afraid that even going deep into your bench, you guys may still be able to score at will on us...lol I am being a bit sarcastic about turning off the jets against us. I just think Lovejoy takes out two years of frustration against us on Friday night and the score may be very indicative of that frustration... We did get some rain this week, but not enough to give us a chance, at least not this year. Travel safe to and from the game and let's pray for no injuries Friday night for either side.
