This weeks games:
Thursday Prosper plays Lone Star
Friday Community plays in Princeton, Lovejoy goes to Farmersville. Anna has the week off to think about the game against Celina next week.
How good is Princeton? They now have the same record as Farmersville. These 2 teams will meet next week unless Community comes to play some football this week. Community is going to try to bring up some more sophomores from the JV this week.

I watched Princeton play Quinlan Ford a few weeks back and was not impressed. They have a QB (coaches son) who is very undisciplined and will pull the ball down and run at the drop of a hat. he is a little shifty but appeared to be very, very weak and went down very easily! But this could be a case of Princeton and Quinlan Ford not looking very good because of what the other team was doing to them. It appears Quinlan Ford is getting some recognition these days. With all that being said, I don't think Community stands much of a chance on Friday night. Princeton should beat them at least as bad as Farmersville did. And I also think Friday night will be a very humbling experience for most of us Farmersville supporters. Lovejoy will probably bring the big beatdown. But most people felt Lovejoy would beat the Farmers pretty badly last year (not me) and it didn't happen. This might be a good night for both Braves fans and Farmersville fans to stay at home and support the Rangers!

If the Farmersville fans stay home, can we sit on the Home side?
It's a lot closer to the concession stands.
Actually, what would be recommended as a good but relatively quick place to eat in Farmersville?

Charlies is right across the street from the stadium and they have good food like hamburgers, chicken fried steaks, etc. If you are in the mood for Mexican food, then Tony's which is downtown on the square is excellent. If you are looking for Italian, then Victors right off 78 just past the Exxon is very good too.
Unfortunately for us Farmer faithful, it may be a very long night for us this Friday. We lost a ton of talent to graduation! Meanwhile, Princeton concerns me a little bit. They are definately beatable, but which Farmer team will show up to play them is the question. If we show up and don't get after it, we may be left out of the dance this year as Princeton is fully capable of taking the 3rd place spot! We shall see....See you guys out there Friday night! Farmer fans...Pray for rain!!!

Well....Lovejoy didn't beat us 70-0 like I originally predicted, but they did beat us pretty badly! Congratulations to the Leopards for a convincing win tonight and thank you to your coaching staff for playing very conservative tonight and taking their foot off the throttle so to speak! Lovejoy could have beaten us 100 to 0 tonight if they wanted to, but showed quite a bit of class all night long. Congratulations to Lovejoy on what looks like will be their 1st ever district title and you guys could very well go all the way this year! Meanwhile.....next week vs Princeton!!!! We have got to get geared up to beat the Panthers next week or we will be left out of the playoffs for sure! It is do or die next week for the Farmers. Princeton is definately beatable, but we will have to eliminate mistakes, turnovers, penalties, etc and bring our "A" game to win! Princeton played North Lamar to within a point and the following week we got blasted by North Lamar! So, we are going to have to tighten our chin straps and get after it next week if we want to salvage an ugly season thus far! I know the Farmers can do it! They have just got to go out and execute and put a good game together! Good luck to Lovejoy next week and lookout Princeton....the battle of the lake is on!!!! Let the fun and games begin!

It's not getting much better for Community. Two TD passes and a fumble in the endzone was not enough to beat Princeton. We're hoping that Lovejoy will rest a bunch of players in week 10. Even then we won't beat them but it will be less painful.

It was quite funny when the field sprinklers came on at halftime in the Lovejoy/Farmersville game.
It looked like the prayers for rain were being partially answered.
We still have 3 games to go before we can claim district championship. I sure hope Lovejoy doesn't go to sleep for any of these games. Princeton could prove to be dangerous to our secondary with the numbers their QB is capable of.
