i think it was 7-6 to nimitz, 3 years ago....and even then we finished 13-2,

We are definately hated, however I dont mind bc its due to our success on and off the field.

yea donna might of made it to the playoffs 6 straight years but they always lose in the first or the second round in the playoffs...they might make it to the playoffs this year but they wont get past the first round....u all dont even have a good enough team to accomplish that.....you'll proly hve to play rivera and they will beat u all....

i know we havent been succesful in the playoffs i posted that already but out of 20 some school here in the valley at least we are there. and not to many teams have been succesful in the playoffs either only a select few and once in a blue moon. we have a crippled team this year with back ups playing because of injuries and we still might make it while others wont so it says something about our program even though we are thin on playes (35/45 man roster). and we wont play rivera either they will go D2 and IF Donna makes it they will go D1 and draw Harlingen again.

ill just add that we had a good enough team to beat the PSJA N raiders this past friday. your team

I am sure all the teams in our district are jealous, cause we are there year in and year out and well thats the way the cookie crumbles, certain programs in the state are there year and year out and thats the way it is. go tigers!

clos I think pretty much everyone knows Rivera is the team to beat in the valley. Harlingen had something to say about that and rivera took care of that. now San bene wants to say something about that and we will see how Rivera responds. My money is on Rivera. If someone hates Rivera right now its Harlingen. like you said Rivera is a thorn and they have harlingens # for the past couple of years.

Im just tired of them moaning and groaning about how much it will cost them to travel now..

They only go to Tyler once this year. And they just went in foootball this is. We have to do the same thing going to the Mesquite schools and you dont seen us moaning and groaning like them.

I cant wait to play them in 2 weeks. Just to shut them up even more

Having gone to school in west Texas I can't have much sympathy for them on that point alone either. We were the lucky school in that we had one other team in our district in the same town, other than that it was travelpalooza every year, it got worse in post district play as we tended to end up playing teams from the northeastern corner of the North Texas area (I mean really, we "compromised" and met halfway in Abilene one time, thats still a 3 hour or so drive one way).

Donna most hated school in the valley not the district. if we do good were doing roids, or have older guys, or recruits, etc etc. We also get the one dimensional weak team theory about us running the ball all of the time. toss right toss left up the middle but guess what 6 years straight to the playoffs. With a crippled team and a couple of or starters out including the QB we are still playing tough and we might just make it seven years. to bad we havent been so succesful in the playoffs though.
