Come on Nole, you don't actually believe that. They would have been the best team in Florida the last 2 years.

I would put lots of money on TCU to beat any of the big 3 schools in FL, and wouldn't 2nd guess it. The only program in Florida that is on the way up is FSU. I like what Fisher is doing there, and the recruits he's getting. Its awfully similar to 15 years ago in Tallahassee.

There are too many questions at Florida and Miami to say either are nearly as good as TCU right now.

Gators finished #3 in the nation last year.

just another nugget. Florida's Anthony Chickillo won MVP of the under armor all american game, and Florida's Dee Hart not only won MVP of the Army all american game, but he won US Army All American Player of the Year.

do you see the pattern??? it is a non stop, never ending amount of fact that get flooded here about the accolades of the Florida guys.

what did the state of Texas do in 2010 that would make anyone say they were the best? not 1937, not 1984, or even 2005, but just in 2010??? please tell me because i would love to know.

i literally just went to a different website, and found out Florida's Jeff Driskel won Gatorade national player of the year. Im starting to get bored with this now. Florida is so head and shoulders above everyone else, i think we should start debating who's number 2. lol. i think those Ohio and New Jersey guys might have a different choice than Texas. lol.

A team outside of the top 25, beat a team in your state finals. Pretty sad, huh?

Other than someone objectively giving accolades to Florida kids, what have they done to prove they are the best? The kid from Shiloh Christian was USA Today player of the year if I'm not mistakes. I guess they AR is better than FL.

The only pattern I see is you ignorantly fishing for anything to prove Florida is the best. All I see is failure.

what did i fail on??? constantly giving facts. i never hear anyone from Texas say 1 word that even sounds like a fact that Texas did anything in 2010. all Texans do is just say "were the best and thats that". no proof, no merit. just homer opinions.

sounds like some old grandpa that says the athletes in his generation are the best ever. Texans are just stuck in their ways, and cant get passed the fact that states that are 5 times smaller can surpass them. and dont give me the El Paso, Laredo Hispanic crap. Florida has tons and tons of Cubans and Puerto Ricans. im sure they go to high school too.

bottom line, the next post a Texan writes should be stating facts about why 2010 Texas carried the banner...

What facts have you posted? All you bring to the table is Florida's talent, which is great. Everyone know that. But thats it.

Plant played for the state title, and you had a 4 loss team win another. Looking at that, I'd bring up the talent issue too. You have nothing else.

You talk about 1st round picks, Texas has had a sh!t load more the last two years. I know how you like recent history. Is 2 years relevant enough for you?

As far as Florida having tons of Cubans and Puerto Ricans, give it up. I promise you it aint like the illegals we have in Texas and California. Hell, Houston has over 4 million people, and close to 2.5 million of those are tortilla flippers. Dallas isn't much better. So if you don't think that our high schools are infiltrated with thousands of Hispanics that run like dry creeks, and don't play football, then your lost. We probably have over 100 high schools that are nothing but Mexicans. South Florida has that many schools filled with gang bangers. Gang bangers make better football players than cartel members.

Start doing some research and tell us how many Player of the Years have been form Texas in the last 10 years compared to Florida. I'm pretty positive you won't post it.

Texas has 1 guy Garrett Gilbert since Gatorade started naming POTY winners in 1986. Florida has 3. Emmitt in 1987, marquetee smith in 1991, and John Brantley in 2007. thats 3 to 1.

And Jeff Driskel wasnt the Gatorade, but the Maxwell Award football clubs H.S. POTY. Cam Newton won the college version.

i cant find U.S.A. todays.

You keep talking about our State title finalists, but look at your winners. they would get beat by STA or Miami Central I.M.O.

so your comeback was "you can have this accolade or that one, but we have better teams". that sound so dumb with no real substance behind it. it sounds like homer opinions to me.

Thats 2 yrs old. Not valid ammo. Do you use 2yr old documents for your taxes: Answer NO: Fact texas has more kids on college rosters than any state. Thats BCS and non BCS. Airforce is not a BCS team and beat GA Tech. TCU non BCS thats 70 kids from Texas not counted. LOL, I know they are not BCS quality. They will destroy any team in FLA.

Give me a break. What drastic changes have occured on the recruiting landscape over the last two years that would change this significantly? The cold truth in NOTHING. The recruiting hotbeds haven't changed and I'd bet the ranch the numbers, if you added the last two years, would be about the same.

But if you want to provide some evidence of a sudden shift that has seen many more Texas kids and many fewer Florida kids being recruited and signing since 2008, please fell free to insert them here:

I know that Vince Young and Cory Redding were national players of the year too, so I don't know which sources we are using, but apparently 2 different ones.

As for the bolded, STA didn't beat anyone that wonderful to make me think they'd run roughshod over Texas competition. Miami Central, give me a break. They are Dallas Skyline and Desoto made over. They can't win it here, so what leads me to believe Central could. They lost to a 2nd round Georgia loser.

I'm sorry, you can add David Warren from Tyler John Tyler from that list too.

FSU and Texas are the only two teams I can think of that signed both the offensive and defensive POY in the country in the same recruiting class.

FSU did it with David Warren and Travis Minor and Texas did it with Cory Redding and Chris Simms a few years later.
