So your saying Liberals are smart, educated types. Didn't know that. Always thought most of yall were just lazy, naive, and dependent on the government. I guess you learn something everyday.

That's usually what happens when you kive in a town with 12 people, and the mayor is a horse.

L...O...L.

i forgot you folks are from the home of Dubya Bush. you guys are proud, it says so driving into Texas. its easy to say these things if you dont work at McDonalds or Wal-Mart. its even easier to say graduate high school, go to college, and get a 9 to 5 job. its not realistic for everybody. just you. if you made 8 dollars an hour for 40 hours, thats 320 bucks. then take at least 40 for taxes, thats 280 a week. thats 1120 a month. you cannot survive on that if you live alone. you would NEED someone else as a roommate.

get financial aid, get food stamps, why should those fat cats keep all the money? if my parents didnt get food stamps growing up, us kids, and kids all around the country might of went hungry. i thank God for government assistance. :please:

Actually pretty good, can't counter that.

If you knew anything about Tenaha, you would realize you aint far off.

I like little towns like that. A place where you can get a small house on a lake with a big tree to sit under and let time tick away. I could never live in a place like that, I'm too used to city/suburban life - but for 1 week every couple of months? If I had the money, I'd do that.

I't's why I love south Georgia so much.

And I'm completely the opposite. I love Austin as much as any place, the Hill Country in general. We go twice a year usually, but no way, no how, could I live in Austin, or outside of it. Way to big, congested, and crazy. You can have a great time, live it up, and see some amazing things, but I don't think I could live there. My 2nd favorite place could be Destin, but wouldn't be able to live there either.

I have 45 acres in the Pineywoods, off of a Farm Market road, surrounded by huge tress and wilderness. I wouldn't trade nothing for the laid back, slow pace, simple life that east Texas offers. Actually much like that of the Thomasville/Valdosta area of GA, just a few more hills and hollers.

If you ever get the chance,go up to north Georgia - tons of waterfalls within the national forest up there, and about an hour south in Taliaferro County are perfect lake houses to just sit and stare into. I don't often get the time to make that drive, but when I was at FSU, it was something I did every other month (even then it's still a 5-6 hour drive).

Finally you have something to add that is helpful and makes sense instead of mudd slinging all the time..

yeah i've been to North GA, and Chattanooga TN, and its some of the most beautiful things you'll see. every part of this great country has beautiful places, but i personally wouldnt want to live anywhere besides Florida. ill just stick to traveling to different places. i've been to alot of places in New Jersey, and havent seen anything that nice. LOL :toilet:

Chattanooga has one of the biggest and cleanest parks I've ever been to. Plus they had a store right in the middle of it, where you could buy some ice cream. One of the best family reunions ever.

I've been all over the country. In terms of the U.S. mainland, Malibu and Santa Barbara in California is tough to beat in terms of year-round everything. I like south Florida a lot but it reminds me of a giant Galveston or South Padre in Texas. The reason why I think California is a little nicer than South Florida is because it doesn't have some swampy aspects to it (like Southeast Texas or Louisiana). I find northern and middle Florida very similar to parts of Texas with the highway system, sub-divisions,etc. The hill country west of San Antonio and Lake Travis area is really nice. You would swear you are in California if you go to Lake Travis. New Hampshire and Maine are really nice in the summer but the winters are brutal. Colorado is also up there but same with the rough winters.

Wow...this whole thread has gotten out of control.

The Lake Travis is nice and there are people from Cali moving here thinking that it is Ca its not. I had a lady (30yrs old) from Ca ( born in Poland) who move here. We hired her and she kept telling me that we should do this and that the way they do it in Ca and I finally told her ITS NOT CALIFORNIA and if want it to be like CA then move your **** back. She wanted more street lights and she came with this mind set that people from TX are Hillbillies or something and that they are coming here to improve things ,just like a few on this board think the same about other states .We did fired her at a later date after she said she was sick for 8 days with no Doctors note I guess thats a Cali thing but it don't fly here. She also mention that Americans are stupid and I reminded her they probably are, the brave ones who defended Poland during WW 2 were probably saying the same thing as the bombs fell and the long winters saving there ****...this is stupid.

We fired her on Veterans Day 3 years ago.
