I just saw that colerain was playing cocoa and im in shock. i thought colerain lost a lot of there talent last year and this was a down year for them. Im not sure what the chocolate team has this year but im not to convinced that colerain will win..
They got a QB transfer and I think a couple of others.
+ whatever they have back from last year.
I think they'll be fine.

little preview:
Three starters are back on the offensive line with guard Jimmy Vogel, tackle Joe Aracri and tight end Ben Scherrer returning to action. Junior Dylan Wiseman, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 275 pounds, might just be the best of all of them. The triple-option attack will have a few new faces, but some proven success from its parts. The Cardinals still return polished backfield runners in Chris Davis, Chris Mimes and Curtis Jester. As a supporting cast in 2010 the trio managed to combine for 1,294 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns. Sophomore fullback Tegray Scales has a bright future.
Three players are vying for the quarterback position, Dustin Smith, Jackson Sorn and Lakota West transfer Alfred Ramsby. He ran for 427 yards and four touchdowns for the Firebirds in 2010. Whoever wins the job will also have to be able to get the ball downfield to sophomore star wide receiver Trevon Hudson. At 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds his strength, size and big-play ability will cause nightmares for opposing defensive backs. Ramsby will start and Dustin Smith will play some wr.
Seven starters are back on defense and that is a scary thought for opposing offenses. Five players will rotate along the line. They are led by nose tackle Trae Clark 6'4 300lbs. The depth up front really shines through with Steve Ferneding, Trent Copeland, Anthony Zeek and the “Baby Bull”, Dae’shawn Durham. Jake Blust moves from the end position to middle linebacker. Teamed with Michigan-bound Joe Bolden, the Cardinals look to launch a fury of missiles into opposing backfields. The duo has combined for 12.5 sacks in their varsity careers. The secondary is led by senior Andre Jones, who has verbally committed to the University of Cincinnati. The Colerain program has always been known for their great bloodlines and that is no different this year as Durham, Dylan Coombs and twins Casey and Corey Lozier looking to make an impact on this side of the ball.

Wasn't particular impressed. Both QB's were not very accurate. Cocoa's QB kept throwing into double coverage.
Considering they run the triple option and Wing-T respectively, I don't consider that highly unusual. I thought both defenses were pretty damn impressive.

Colerain looked good and I predicted I think 7-10 pt Colerain win cuz of Cocoa's simple but solid O.
Pretty close game and 10pts of Colerains came off of a trick play and turnover. Those teams were pretty even, just a few plays apart just like last year when Cocoa played Abilene both teams had a great D.
Abilene had some problems on their O (not full strength) but still held Cocoa to one first down the entire first half and only one play either way seperated them apart in the end.
And im not saying Abilene was that weak because of out of four weeks of games back to back against state champs they only lost one game by three points.
I think if Cocoa could get a Sta or Katy or Trinity or SLC like offense and with that D they could a national champ. They will win most games now just on their D alone. And they make a great measuring stick for any power team. I like them cuz they are a traveling power !

There wasn't alot of difference in the out come of these two. A trick play and a turnover for 10 Pt's. I don't how Cocoa does it, every time they play a good team they cant move the ball very well but some how make just enough big plays to keep them in it.Collerain was a much more solid team. Collerain could play with anyone. Not convinced about Cocoa though. They may dominate FL 4A, but against the elite teams of the nation, their great defense just means they lose 17-0, instead of 42-0.
I say not much difference in 2010 Abilene, Colerain and Cocoa.
. I know what you mean they to have a little luck to win in the big games like the two break out plays at the end of the Abilene game.. Well my advice is dont let up on them or they might can beat your ****!

Put Chevelle Buie back on Cocoa, and they likely beat Colerain.

Colerain won 17 to 7. They held BCS recruited rb Folston to 4 total yards.
Lee was the primary back, as Folston was mainly needed for defense.
Lee had over 70 yards.

Lee had 55 yards rushing.....why is your BCS recruit not running the ball? Maybe coach is not that good? Cocoa said they didnt have players going both ways......hmm

I don't know if they win or lose.. Cocoa is so close to the strength of all these teams its just a toss up any way..
Abilene completely shut down Buie till a couple of plays before the end of the game.. But you are right in that Cocoa runs such vanilla offense that he probably did bring and extra gear to their game.

Yeah, i'd agree. That was Colerain QB's 1st game as a QB,, he was a rb last year.

Folston played the entire game at SS, so they obviously had players going both ways.
- I didn't go to Cocoa, they aren't "my" anything.
Their coach is good defensively, but his offensive scheme is terrible.
