We need you back in uniform EMMITT22. For the Longhorns to win tonight we're gonna need:
1) No long runs up the middle by Coleman players carrying the ball
1a) Several long runs up the middle by Longhorn ball carriers
2) Play calling on offense that is not predictable, and that doesn't smell like desperation
2a) no delays of game, or "hurry up and get in we've only got 10 secs on the play clock" plays
3) halftime adustments on defense to correct where the Bluecats are doing us harm (unless, of course, we're up by 20+ and the Bluecats have less than 100yds total offense)
4) no personal fouls by Longhorn players
5) defensive backs coached to look at their reciever, AND the ball

Well, we did ok on #2a and #5, the rest, not so much...

its a simple game, nothing fancy tonight got gashed up the middle missed some opportunities that might of swinged some momentum, and possibly changed the outcome, but not. the Bluecats wanted it more, and got it. I'm not jumping ship, i love the Horns. we got a few more weeks till district starts, and anything can happen we all know that, so lets keep supporting our team, catch a wave ride it in, and see what happens...HOOK 'EM HORNS!!!

It's like I said on the other post..these are not the Bluecats yall have seen in the last few years. I am going to go back on one thing I said. Since I now live in Sweetwater, I want yall to wait one more week before you start winning....after that I hope yall can win the rest of the season.

Just one more thing. 2a will be a lot easier to do when the play clock does not start before the officials set the ball.

A few years ago, Early played in Grape Creek one friday night. Last Friday night was strangely familiar to what I remember of that night. (except that Early won the game)
After the game, according to a couple of the players, Bowden said it was all his fault, 100%; that he was going to try and figure out what he was doing wrong; that maybe he needed to step down and hand over the reins to someone else; among other "pity party" type things.
I think that is ridiculous and immature! I was told we hired a leader, that's not leadership, that's "poor poor pitiful me", and I find it disgusting for our young men to have to put up with that kind of talk.

I do know what happens when a team starts winning, although it's been a few years now since I've seen that attitude around here. What worries me at this point is that the head coach who is leading our young men has no confidence in himself, much less leadership. Not only that, its always been my opinion that you can't lead someone to a place you've never been to yourself. If you look at Bowden's track record as a head coach, it is no surprise that we are where we are now.

I may start a write-in campaign to have Sharp take over...

I have been an Early fan for 36 years and I am not about to stop.
I am just disgusted with kids transferring to the Brown County Lions so they can get their name in the paper.
