I'm a first time poster but a long time fan and I feel the need to respond to the absurdness of the post by wp78. Tindol was not a leader. He was fortunate enough to inherit a talented bunch of athletes, with his enrollment close to the 3a cutoff, that his coordinators obviously utilized. Under his regime I saw the discipline level go from good to absolutely zero and whatever the student/athlete did was ok as long as he performed on friday night. It looks to me like coach bowden is at least trying to teach his players that there are consequences for acting stupid.
you nailed it man! *sigh*

HOLD UP THERE ROOKIE!!! I know some Indians that might have something to say about the "first win" concept! I see this as being a great game! Both teams hungry and improving. Keys are can JN stop Early running, and can Early stop JN passing. Turnovers have been JN achilles heal in losses. +3 in turnovers vs Anson in the win.You guys aren't lying about the radio upgrade...T E was awful!! Talk about having no sense of the game whatsoever. Heck, my 4 year old daughter has more football knowledge than that clown. I actually enjoy listening in now, and I am going to enjoy it even more this Friday when we get our first win of the season. Go Horns!
At least y'all HAVE a radio broadcast! by the way, what is the station # as I am not sure we will be able to make the game.

Brownwood's loss.
"Brownwood High student-athlete John Alsides, who transferred from Early this summer, has been ruled ineligible by the UIL because they felt the senior moved for athletic reasons. The senior wanted to play football, soccer and run track, but his appeal was denied. And Early doesn't even field a soccer team.
Several other schools had players rule ineligible for the same reason, but two others were cleared. None of these schools were from West Texas."

I agree, Emmitt. Our boys were real close to knocking off a tough Bangs squad. I believe Coach Bowden will have the team ready to play against Clyde on Friday night. This game ought to decide who goes to the playoffs!

what a joke. Tindol was a leader he came into Early and rewrote the script, he had a system that the kids bought into and he had a great coaching staff who actually knew what they were doing and he led the Early teams to the playoffs. I tell you what if a kid ever EVER acted like that one kid did for Early (#6) that Friday night in Clyde coach Luker would have made that kid drop all his pads and go sit his a$s in the stands. What a disrespectful kid, you have to realize you can't get ejected from all of the games. You are representing a school and everyone inside of a town. I have seen a few games this season and Friday night against Clyde was absolutely the worst team I have seen in Early since the '03 '04 teams. I mean how unmotivated, emotionless, and careless can one team play. No offense to the band but they were actually more aggressive than the football team with their drama filled half time show. (fun show BTW). No offense to Clyde but they are a subpar team and not any better than that, so you rank Early how you want. Next question that still lingers through out the community...why this Bowden guy? you have over 150+ applicants and you pick this guy who Early use to beat like a drum and has a 3-348 record before coming to Early (ok that stat may be off a little). But seriously what did yall even work on in practice last week? the Pistol formation where you run the counter over and over and you get blasted for a 3 yard loss? or the little Pistol screen pass that gained 0-1 yard every time?...btw was there even a defense out there? On the other note of you saying Bowden is teaching these kids something...what how to continuously get 15 yard personal fouls? ha. a complete embarrassment. with this final note...it sure is sad Early had a few groups of kids come through and really provide hope to this town, actually played with class, and were fun to watch (they actually scored and played defense), and just in the last two years Early is back to another 50 years of no playoffs...man what a sad day to be from Early..

Tindol was a leader? You talking about the alcoholic that has lost two jobs in the past year and half? The one that had a DUI swept under the rug? Boy, I would want that man leading my kids as a football coach and role model!
