went 2-8 in football, one win being very close over Cisco, and a couple of losses being very close to Sweetwater, and Eastland had some players suspended during the season, but worked their way back into good terms with Coach Bowden and the rest of the team, had a couple of very good players transfer to Brownwood one being Ethan Horton last year, and Kevin Vaccaro the previous year after Coach Freeman left, then Coach Shipley took over. Have some good skill players back, but our o/d line is going to have to reload, but i think we can vye for a playoff spot. i like Bowden, but sure do miss Coach Tindol and Luker. Baseball team got third in district, lost in first round off playoffs, softball won district going undefeated, with a season high ranking of third in the state, but were upset in the second round of the playoffs, jv girls won district in track, jv boys got 4th, varsity girls got 3rd, and varsity boys got 4th, 25pts out of first. boys basketball did not do well, the girls did, and Katie Isom got big country 2a player of the year.I'm interested on how everything went last year. Not only the football season, but how things went down in all other sports. The group that I coached will be juniors and seniors this next season, and I would like to know how your team will be looking this year.

Friday's quick hitters.....
EARLY 27-26 CISCO.
"Early coach Brad Bowden collected a stunning upset win in his debut, handing Cisco its first home loss since the season opener in 2006, which, ironically, was a 30-22 loss to Early. The Longhorns victory also denied Cisco head coach Brent West his 100th career win."

Matt is good but, the one that will surprise everyone this year will be Payton Hiltibidal. He is coming along and looks pretty good during practice...I see the 2011 team surprising some folks this season. They are picked toward the bottom of the district but initially they are looking pretty good so far this week. Their new starter at QB is small but has a great arm and is quick. They also got a good receiver & defensive starter back this year in Matt Lewis. He played at 3A Wylie last season but moved back to Early this summer. Saw him play with their 7 on 7 team should be exciting to watch this year. Looking forward to seeing what Coach Bowden can do this season.

underclassmen or not, we can't afford to lose kids out of the program, I don't think. We only had 60some out for football this year anyway...No varisty players, must be underclassman
