It's finally time. I have decided to include dist. 10 in this thread just so there will be more participation. Both districts share common opponents for the most part including Melissa, who is going to be a handful for anyone that plays them.

So let me get this thing started. I have not seen anything about our Farmersville boys this offseason and really don't know what to expect. I hear some good things and based on the history of many of the boys coming into their own I think we should see some good improvement this season. According to the Farmersville News the team will have 18 returning lettermen from last season so they should have plenty of experience. This is by far the toughest district the Farmers have ever been in but I have faith they can take at least third and make the playoffs. Let's play some football!!!

3A-9 Argyle 17-14 Lucas Lovejoy 3A-11.
2010 Overall Record (13-1) District (5-0)
Do Eagles have anything 2 prove this year??
Last year
3A-11 Farmersville 20-36 Commerce 3A-10.

Farmersville will have their hands full making the playoffs this season. I hear their defense is pretty good and if they play good defense then anything is possible.

Prosper - big 3A, big football... they're going to be thes best in this district w/o question.
Princeton - rebuilding last year, should be OK this year. The had something last year. Will be better this year.
Farmersville - rebuilding last year, should be OK this year. They had nothing last year, but will be better this year.
Lovejoy - rebuilding this year... big time. Coaching will be what makes the difference.
Lone Star - first year V last year, big 3A has the talent. They just need another year to put it together.
Community - sorry guys. I luv ya, but it's going to be another rough one.
I think Prosper and Princeton are a lock for the top 3 anyway. The Farmers and the Leopards are pretty close, but I give the edge to the Farmers because of their tradition and a little more experience. I think the Leopards just lost too much. They bet it all on last year, and the underclassmen and former JV players will pay for it this year. I would like to see Lone Star and the Braves have some success, but somebody has to get beat. Who knows, it may be a fairly close district this year (except for Prosper running away with it). Might be fun.

On another note: I do like the fact that the Farmersville team has gone to a spread offense. When the QB and his receivers get some better timing we might see some very impressive numbers from them. Will be fun watching it develope.
