I didn't look at polls or reviews or anything, so I might be in trouble in the lower classifications. Or 4A & 5A for that matter. It would be helpful to know the home teams, and after this week, each teams current record. Something else cool, would be each weeks winner being able to chose the match-ups for the next week, but that might be a bit of a stretch.

I was just thinking about this a few minutes ago. Hope there's more participation than there was last year. Super B, I'd say it is a stretch letting the winner choose the games the following week. And don't worry. I think each of us knows more about our own classification than the rest. jcisco probably has a better idea what to expect out of the 2A than the rest, just like I know 5A better than the rest.

I just wanted 2 keep it simple and not overload the mind.....as far as letting the winner choose the games the following week-I have no problem as long as the winner does so by Monday.
As soon as I know who is participating on a regular basis, I will include their team in the Challenge each week!
BTW, do ya'll know how 2 close the Challenge by Thursday??

I can lock the thread for ya. Say 5pm-ish Thursday? Since most of the games don't start til 7 or 7:30.

In regard to the choosing the match ups, I'd say we need to make the strict rule, that the deadline should be Noon on Monday, and whoever won the week before, IF they want to select the match ups, or a few of the match ups, they need to PM Cisco with their selections. Cisco should still be the one to start that weeks thread. Personally, I would not be likely to select any of the lower classification match ups, unless something just stands out.

As for the closing of the thread, it is an option for moderators. If we edit the first post in a thread, we can actually "put it on a timer" so to speak. That is, it has an option to specify a specific time and date we want the topic to close. The only problem with that is that the "time" set for this board is incorrect. I believe it is several hours early. Perhaps we can determine the exact time difference.

I'd suggest putting a limit on just how many of the games the winner chooses. Say 3? Maybe 5?
As for putting a time limit on the thread: that's cool! I didn't know we could do that. But yes, I've noticed that the time-code for the board is off. Is Commish aware of this problem?

Yea id say that sounds good about 3 or 5 games, because I really just follow Class 3A,4A, and 5A. I wouldnt know much about the 2A classes and below just a bit.

I found a slight problem.

Abilene doesn't play Belton, they play EP Hanks. Belton plays Richmond Foster.

Everyone picked Abilene, so I say we go with Abilene vs. EP Hanks. Give everyone a win on the win. Well, I guess it won't give everyone a win, but since we all know Abilene is gonna win anyway, you know what I mean. I'll update the first thread post to reflect correctly.
