Nixon-Smiley Mustangs coach Carlton McKinney's decision to go for the win in the second overtime paid off when QB Garrett Earlywine hit Jared Van Auken for a two-point conversion to beat Dilley, 43-42 in two overtimes.

2011 Army Strong 2A Team of Week.
Week 8ight...
"The Redwater Dragons stunned three-time champ Daingerfield Friday night with a 43-26 win that marked the first victory for a 2A team over Daingerfield in five years. Redwater, which beat Daingerfield for the first time in program history, had three backs top 100 yards rushing and scored 34 points in the second half."
