well I agree. I think in general when you take a step back, and I didn't really grasp this until I left texas, but it is very evident that the aggies are in the shadow of texas and always have been. There were times when the aggies had better teams over periods of time(in all sports), but historically texas has owned them. Living in texas it is hard to get a feel because a&m is a big school and is a great institution. I respect their tradition and their fans because they are among the best in the nation. unfortunately in modern times their football team has never given their fans and school the type of signature win that they truly deserve. and while I am a texas supporter and do not like the aggies, I don't wish anything bad for them.

I just think that as far as football goes, they will probably never be as strong as texas and they are tired of looking up to the longhorns. This move may serve them well financially, but it does change a lot of rivalries from the old days. and like i've said before, they will find that the grass is not necessarily greener in the SEC. it will be good for them to experience something new, but once that flame dies out, they and their fans, are going to miss the old SWC teams. just wait. Hopefully the longhorns will keep their OU battle in tact. Because I would be very disappointed to see that game go away. I don't think there is a better CFB game out there.

well they (a&m) have had much success recently in athletics both mens/womens bb programs the ladies won it all this last year, their track teams both m/w are fantastic won the national championships this last year as well, the baseball and softball programs are competitive, the fb team has slid, but in the nineties they were a force to be reckoned with when UT struggled, but seem to be back in it. more important they are an institute of higher learning (education is a discovery of our own ignorance). well i hope it works out for 'em. but as always for me, HOOK 'EM HORNS!!!

I will not be sending any Christmas Cards to College Station.
But a Get Well Card may be in order a year from now.
