great Job to Texas High for holding JT for 3 quarters. JT was just to much at the end.

I agree. The fumbled punt was the fuse for the 4th qt blowout, but JT was clearly the better team. I'm just sorry the game got out of hand so quickly. Texas High had played about as good as they could up to 4th quarter.

JT's QB is some kind of talent. I will have to admit I am always a little skeptical of a team that relies so much on 1 player. Hopefully he will carry them all the way though

JT does relies on him, but at times he tries to do to much, and he needs to put the ball in the hands of the other good players around him.

Wish I could have been at that one. JTs quarterback is a beast. T here were times when we thought we had JT on some third downs where he just torched us, But they are more than a one man team.Lke cujo said if he starts spreading the ball around they around they are gonna be hard to beat

Kilgore 14 Lancaster 6. Should have been a shutout ... an iffy roughing the passer call at the end of the game gave them a first down at the 13 after we had stopped them on 4th down...oh well a win is a win.We got Frisco next

Congrats to my Bolldogs and congrats to JT.So happy yall beat HP.Hope both teams can keep it going next week.I do like JT over Sherman and I like our chances against Corsicana in the rematch. We are a completely different team than the one they played week 1.D-Line is completely different, two different O-linemen and we have LD Anthony this time, who satout due to missing pratice n our first match-up.Corsicana is very good though on offense and or D is playing lights out. Shoud be a good match-up.Still do not understand why we are playing in Forney again instead of at Rose since ROe would be a halfway point and is a nicer stadium

John Tyler 2012
Returning Offense players (current class)- 9 returing starters, and a few others with significant playing experience
QB-Greg Ward-jr.
RB-Reggie Gipson-so
RB-Rod Smith-jr.
RB/WR-DeQuante Woods-jr.(had some starts at LB this yr)
WR-Fred Ross-jr.
WR-Darion Flowers-jr. (played some CB this yr)
WR-Justice Liggins-jr.
OT-Chris Mobley-jr. (had a few snaps at DT this yr)
OG-Cornelius Davis-jr.
C-Chris Starling-jr.
OT-Emmanuel Terrazas-jr.
TE-Tyus Bowser-jr.(also starts at DE)

DEFENSE- 7 returning starters, (and a few more with lots of playing time)
DE-Tyus Bowser-jr.
DE-KaVante Jefferson-jr.
DT-Deandre Miller-jr.
DT-Tra Moore-so.(started a game this yr, but mostly played JV)
LB-Richard Gipson-jr.
LB-Andrew Clark-so.
LB-Jorian Jackson-so. (injured, was penciled in to be the starter this yr, I read that his injury may prevent him from playing again)
LB-DeQuante Woods-jr.
CB-Traven Johsnon-jr.
S-Elliot Hart-jr.
S-Terry Ausborne-so.

Special Teams
P-Noe Diaz-jr.
K-Porfirio Benitez-so.

John Tyler has a very stong Junior class, with a sprinkle of Sophmores. So next yr (on paper) seems like it should be another strong yr for cujo.

They will probably start the season ranked in the top 5. Honestly I would not be shocked if they are pre-season #1

If JT can return a defense they certainly can contend for a title. It was only a matter of time before lack of defense got them this year, but they are a very young team & will be even tougher next year. Defense is all that's holding this team back. Easily the class of 4A anywhere in Northeast Texas.

most of the guys liking Defense for JT this had never liked defense before, so it was learn on the job type of thing.

This is what is being reported by the oldcoach.com site. I am treating this as rumor but they claim this is JT's preseason schedule:

Week 0: North Crowley(5A school near forth worth)

Week 1: Lufkin

Week 2: Tyler Lee
