This district was formed as a result of Van Alstyne and Commerce dropping to 2A and Prosper and Lovejoy moving up to 4A. Farmersville was also dropped to class 2A. The remainder of these two districts formed district 12. With the 2 super-sized teams gone and that pesky Farmersville team gone, this district should be a little more competitive. The district title should come down to Melissa and Princeton. The number 3 spot should come down to the other 3. The non-district schedules are going to be interesting, as they always are with 5 team districts. Community plays a Fort Worth school? Melissa has a game scheduled with the Dallas Prime Prep Academy.
