Since it's the offseason this could maybe give the board spmething to talk about. They're doing the same thing on rivals.
I think this would be a great game and I'm sure alot of people don't want to give Travis a chance because 4A is next to their name (in 08 of course). Who wins this?

That 2008 team might be Lake Travis's best in the last 5 years; but I still agree with you -- Southlake Carroll's best team (2005) would put them down.Southlake Carroll
Hands down.
They might also have been #1 in 2011 (4A) at season's end; but I don't believe they would rank above the 5A Div I & Div II winners; but at last
we'll find out how they stack up against the big boys now that they've moved up to 5A. Remember SLC didn't miss a beat when they moved
up to 5A. I believe the competition makes you better. I was looking at scores and discovered that Longview forfeited their 52-22 win over
Shreveport Evangel,La. in 2008. Anyone know why. They
also lost to Lake Travis in the finals 48-23 that year.

Southlake may win, it wouldn't be a blowout though. Remember LTs coach Chad Morris was one of the best Tx HS coaches ever. He has a winnning record, went 32-0 at LT, and is now making 1.3 million dollars a year being OC for Clemson.
I think Gilbert was a better HS QB than Mcelroy was. Both teams were very talented. It's safe to say Southlake may win but LT plays with no fear of losing and finds ways to win and in a game like this I wouldn't count them out. Southlake wouldn't stop Gilbert, Mccrary, Erickson and LT wouldn't stop Renfro, Fentriss, Jacobson and Newton.
